Kal Tire

Been topping up the air on one of my car's tires more frequently lately. Booked an appointment to fix it yesterday morning. Boy right off the bat from the booking of appointment to the time I got my car back. Hands down the customer service was exceptional. Thank you!

After I picked up the car the heat has been cranked up from 20C to 32C and the radio volume was cranked up from 5 to 30 and heated seat button is on high. Not sure why someone would need all of that for less than 30 sec drive to the service bay...

The customer service people here have poor customer service skills as he looked at the line up and immediately picked up a phone with out acknowledging customers already in line.

The other guy just ignored the line up and went straight to the person on the side looking at their tires...

The only good experience was the customer service person that helped me caught an error from the web order so he saved me from buying an additional set of tire pressure sensors.

Beware of Kal Tire! I made an appointment to have my winter tires put on two weeks prior to the appointment date. When I booked the date, I was told that the appointment would take 1 hour because the tires were on rims. When I arrived, I was told it would be at least 2 hours. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, my vehicle was finally put in the shop. 15 minutes later, I was told the shop staff put my winter tires on but took them off as they were too worn out and put my summers back on. I was also informed that they did a wheel alignment (which I had not requested) and they would not be charging me. I left and went to the Audi dealership and asked them to put my winter tires on - which they did. Audi advised me that my tires will last me the winter however, would need to replace them next year! I am extremely disappointed in the lack of honesty not to mention the poor customer service of Kal Tire. No one bothered to tell me there was any issue with my tires until I was called to the counter and after a 2 hour wait. I will not return given that they obviously thought they were going to manipulate me into buying 4 new winter tires! NO THANKS! Don't go here as you cannot trust them!

I am quite disappointed in my experience at Kal-Tire this week. I dropped off my car to have tires installed, which had been previously ordered in for me, and they had checked and confirmed they would be delivered for when they were needed. After waiting the full period for which they quoted me for the install I received a call informing me they actually had only 3 of the 4 tires on site and would need to reschedule, wasting another morning of my time. No apology, no remorse. My girlfriend is now in need of new winter tires and I will be forever going back to Tire Pirates, as Kal-Tire is obviously disinclined to care about their customers on an individual basis. This saddened me as they gentleman that quoted me and set up my appointment was very helpful and quite nice.

The technician was welcoming and talked regular language and explained the possible issues and outcomes so I could make an informed decision.

Top shelf customer service. I came in at 545pm with a rapidly deflating tire, knowing full well they closed at 6. I asked the odds of having someone look at the tire and the fellow at the till said he would... He went out of his way to find the hole and offer to swap out the spare at no charge. This is before he had any information on me, with no guarantee of a sale. I asked what new tires would cost and he discovered they had a pair in stock. I said put em on! He ran in the back to try to enable me to drive out on new tires, but the tech had packed up for the evening ( it was 6pm at this point). He booked me in for the next day and sent me away on the spare (still no money having changed hands). Next day I get a call that my car is ready and by the way am I an ama member? Why yes, that gets a discount... I pop in after work and wrap the purchase up. Kal Tire didn't know me from Adam, yet went out of their way to make my experience great. I will be back. Hugely impressed.

These guys are awesome, all the staff here know what they are talking about. Sometimes they are quite busy but everyone is always friendly and do a great job. I bought at Canadian Tire and couldn't believe the lack of service ...returned the tires there and bought from Kal

I went in to get my winter tires put on. They said when they had last put on my tires, one of the lug nuts had been over torqued causing it to get stripped when they took it off. three days later I finally get my car back...

However, there was some weird sound and after some research, I figured it must be a warped router. Took it back in and theyconfirmed it but charged an outrageous amount to fix it!

After 2 days of back and forth the senior mechanic finally admitted that this must have been their fault from the over torquing. Thank goodness, a free replacement.

Fast forward to spring, I decide to give them one last chance to get my summer tires on ... they had me on hold for over twenty minutes. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION.

Went in with a company vehicle to get a battery change. The guy said they had one in stock. Actually they did not have one in stock but they didn't tell me that. I could see them whispering to one another and that's how I realized something was wrong. It took 2 hours for them to go get a battery from another Kaltire and install it. When it was done I stopped to check the work that was done and they had not put the red cap back onto the battery it was just sitting there on top of the engine.

I would never..NEVER bring my own car here. I wouldn't be able to sleep.

Friendly and professional service. Their computer booking system is efficient as well.
I found them to be a little pricey for my taste though.

Booked an oil change for 7:30 am. Was greeted by friendly staff member(wish I knew his name, he had a beard) at 7:25 am who said we will try to get you on your way in 30 minutes. This made sense as I have used another Kal Tire location on Edmonton Trail that gets me in and out in roughly 30 minutes when you have a booked appointment. At 8:45 am my vehicle was done, we'll almost as they forgot to put a window sticker for next oil change in my vehicle. Another 5 minutes later everything is completed. I asked Dan at the counter if he would offer a courtesy apology for taking 70 minutes to do a simple oil change and his response was, we have a 2 hour window for oil changes and have a good day sir. So no apology from Dan but he did give me the "I don't give a damn attitude". A simple "sorry for your wait sir" is all that Dan had to say but nope not from smug boy Dan. So thanks Dan and here's my review for Kal Tire at Chinook Mall. I will not bring my business here again.

The only place that was able to help me on short notice after calling 30 places. Dan D made sure I was taken care of. I arrived with 10 minutes left until the shop was closed and was told it's fine and that they'll take care of it. So I left my car there. Went shopping at Chinook next door and Dan called me 30 minutes later (past their closing time) to let me know my car was ready to go. If it weren't for these guys I would have been stuck indoors all weekend without a ride. I'm only using Kal Tire for tired from now on. Thanks guys! And give that Dan guy a raise. He's great.
