Kal Tire

This has to be the worse Kal-tire I ever been to. I went in to get a price for winter tires for my new truck and I had to plead with the guy to look up my tire size even though we asked to my rims as well. I tried to explain that I wanted a smaller diameter rim but didn't know the bolt pattern or offset. He was like "you should know what you need if you want to buy something". Oh my, we left before getting a quote. That said the Kal-tire on 104 is fantastic and treat customers significantly better.

Excellent service. To get a set of new Nokian winter tires, I initially planned to visit one of the local Toyota centers. But Kal Tire had a better price (~$50-ish difference), so I decided to buy the set from them. No hassle booking and installation. Minor grain of salt was the fact that they didn't completely fix one of the hubcaps and I could have been quite p**sed-off in case I lost it on my way back home. But it didn't happen, so...not a big deal. Also, I'm pretty sure they won't do it again.
One more thing. This is the first place where they recommend you to visit one of their centers to re-torque wheels after the next 50 km. Small, but very important detail.

Asked on the phone for a quote for a set of winter tires and steel rims, gave specific tire size and make of car, quote I received had 17" rims instead of 16", called back a day or so later and had a new quote sent with the proper sized rims, no big deal so I went ahead and ordered the tires and rims and dropped our car off to have them installed.

We show up to pick up our car at the end of the day and the new tires are installed on our existing rims and our now rim less summer tires are sitting un-bagged in our back seat. Went inside and asked what happened, and the tech explained the rims were just missed on the work order. Alright, I guess things happen.

We had to leave the car over night and pick it up the next day. When we picked it up everything is as it should be, and the manager took some money off our bill, which was appreciated. As I'm putting the summer tires away this evening I notice that they were not marked for rotation come spring, just the tread depth is written on the part of the tire accessible through the top of the bag. Obviously they forgot to mark the tires as they were taken off the car.

We will not be returning to this location, a quite simple transaction turned into way more of a hassle than it needed to be.

The service was exceptional. I was able to book the night before and got in right away, at the time I needed. All I had done was a tire repair but they had me in and out within about 30 minutes. Over all it was a great experience and I will be sure to use Kal Tire again.

Great management and team. One of the newer employees was a bit confused and trying to work through something when I was in. The manager came over and offered assistance in an extremely positive way. Not only was I happy with my new tires, but seeing the store dynamic and how coworkers treated each other would definitely bring me back here again! Would highly recommend supporting this Kal tire.

I am extremely happy with the service provided. I bought tires and exchanged brakes in this place. All prices were clearly provided. No hidden costs. Paid 400 dollars less on break replacement work than I was quoted in Canadian Tire in West End!!! All weather tires have been working well for me since I got them a year ago. So glad I've found this place!

This weekend (Saturday May 6th, 2017) I stopped by to get a emergency tire repair at 3 pm. After waiting about 5 - 10 minutes at the front one of the technicians walked in after parking a repaired vehicle and informed me that he would send someone out to help me. The person that came out (I can't specifically remember his name but it was something like Zoltar) was exceedingly rude. He barely acknowledged me as he entered the room and proceeded to check the clip boards on the desks prior to checking with me to see what I needed. When he did ask me what I needed he immediately indicated that they weren't able to take the car that day or tomorrow as they were too busy. I asked it was possible for him to contact some of the other Kal Tires to see if they would be able to help me. It took me asking three times before he actually called any of the stores. At which point, after being told that no one could help, I left. I've had similar experiences with this fellow before. He is rude, doesn't have people skills, and seems to do the bare minimum required. This will be the last time I go to that Kal Tire.

This location is fantastic! They always do the job well and are friendly. They also go above and beyond. More than a couple times they have done extra things for free that I would have expected to pay for. For example, my battery died in their parking lot (my fault) and they sent their mechanic out to boost it for free. It wasn't a huge thing, but there have been enough things like this that I've come to expect this level of service from these guys. I consider above and beyond what I would expect elsewhere.

Just completed a quick trip Vancouver to Edmonton and return. On our way back out of Edmonton, noticed rear tire was looking low. Saw the Kal Tire sign across the way, had no choice but to go in and prepare for a long wait (everybody is changing out winter tires). Vihbor (spelling is wrong for sure) and staff said they would work our vehicle in if we left it available at their lot. We weren't going anywhere without the repair being done, so we agreed. To our great surprise the repair was done in less than an hour! Went to settle the bill...another surprise...N/C (no/charge). You could have taken advantage of the situation, but you didn't! Thanks guys...Your the best...We'll be sure to look up Kal Tire when we're ready for replacements.
