Kal Tire

Have used this shop countless times due to its proximity to my work. Jobs are completed on time, if there are any problems calls are made and solutions quickly found without dinging the wallet too badly. Great friendly staff (besides Ron the Grouch as we call him, but hes a straight arrow and as good as a mechanic can get so the attitude completes the package). 5++ Stars!!!

My company does a lot of business with Kal-Tire, this location especially. We have high expectations and ask a lot of them; they always pull through and make us very happy to use them!

Little bit of a mixed review here. The bad: Essentially they lost the tires they had ordered in for me. Lost my work order so my truck didn't even get done when it was supposed to. And miscommunication between an alignment check and a full alignment. The good: Overall excellent customer service and pricing. They admitted to dropping the ball and accommodated me very well. They brought my truck in overnight due to I had rims in the box and let all the snow and ice melt off of it. Other tire shops I've been to have never done that.
I have worked in another tire shop before so I understand the winter season chaos and stuff does happen sometimes. Id still recommend Kal Tire and will be a repeat customer.

Came in to get my tires switched over to my winters and told the service advisor that the lug nuts and key for those wheels are on the seat. The guy changing the wheels over used the old lug nuts instead. When I pointed this out they went to fix it right away, then came to me ten minutes later to tell me that there were not enough lug nuts. I had to explain to them to reuse the locking nuts. You have to watch everything they do at this location.

Edit: They also forgot to reset the tire pressure sensors so I had to drive back across town to have it done. The Service advisor went to do it and when I suggested he was doing it wrong he proceeded to tell me I was wrong. I then went home and before I got there the car forgot all the sensors again. I went to the Kal TIre on Gateway and as soon as I said it didn't honk the service advisor, he said the other guy didn't know what he was doing and knew exactly what he did wrong. Needless to say, it is all good now.

Excellent service! I have nothing but great things to say about this Kal-Tire! They are always able to fit me in. Usually drop of my vehicle or tires right in the morning and they are finished same day. Great place will always keep coming back.

I ended up having to do a bunch of front end work on my truck and had to get an alignment. This truck has been a nightmare since the very beginning of this repair. I left my truck with them and right away I get a call saying they can't do the alignment due to a fault in one of the parts we replaced. Of course now I think this is a scam so I call up my family members who are mechanics and I call two other alignment places and the place I got the parts from to see if I'm being scammed and all said I was. I went back and told them that I was advised that I was being scammed. The two employees who I was working with walked me through why they said the part wad faulty and advised me to get them to call them to explain. At this point I am so frustrated with the repair and not knowing if I'm being scammed and having to waste more time trying to get this god awful truck to work on a tiny budget. The employee (I believe is the manager) could tell my frustration and did not want me to leave till I was happy. We worked out an agreement which allows me to get the service done and does not screw me over with my bills. I have to say I am quite impressed with the level of professionalism he showed even when I was upset and tearing up. He never lost his cool and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. I love Kal tire for this as they always seem to be willing to go above and beyond for their customers. This is not the first time I have encountered a problem and having to deal with Kal but every time they deal with it the same professional way which keeps me coming back. Thank you.

Knowledgeable staff . Quick service . A bit on the high.end of the price scale. But I am hoping the quality is up there too

Be aware of these guys. They will lie to you with a straight face. Just to get your money.
Worst tire shop

I rate this location a 2 star because they were able to change the tires on the day that they said they could. They beat the lowest price that I found by 5%. But when I arrived, the guy I spoke with said the tires I ordered weren't there at the shop, he had to go talk to someone to find where my tires were. Waiting was as expected 2 hrs first come first serve basis. I paid and went home. I got home and opened the tire bags that my tires came in from the shop to realize that the summer tires were not mine. Not same brand or size. I had to double check the winter tires that were put on to see it they were the correct ones I ordered. Reported the issue to the location and have been waiting days for a call back with the whereabouts of my tires. If I decide to go back I will definitely be double checking my tires before I leave. Busy season, but K.I.S.S. keep track of your tires. It's your only job!
