 Afraid of Flash? - Don't be! Welcome to the Profoto Photowalk... 
 Starting at Kallos Studio in Calgary, the group will take a bus to Banff national park where Miguel will demonstrate the features and beneifts of using the Profoto A1 and Profoto B1X flash for outdoor photoshoots with a model. Bring your camera! A limited number of Profoto A1 flashes and remotes (for Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm and Sony cameras only) will be available for use during the walk. Please indicate what camera brand you shoot with when registering so we can make sure there will be a shared remote available that will work with your camera. 
 What: Profoto Photowalk with Miguel Jacob 
 When: Wednesday August 1st 2:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. Where: Banff National Park (We will meet first at Kallos Studio - 229 Nolancrest Circle Northwest, Calgary, AB T3R 0T6 )

I was invited to a profoto product demo at Kallos this week and was completely enamored with the set up and demonstration. I was speaking with several pro photographers who were equally excited about the unique studio space and leading edge equipment available for rent. The whole experience inspired me and I'm looking forward to using the space for an upcoming commercial project and working with some of the high end light shaping tools for a more unique and professional visual product.

I have been only using speed lights for most of the time as a photographer. I switched to a standard strobe but it lacked mobility... After seen profoto and its versatility and mobility. I fell in love. Profoto to me seems to have all the light shaping tools required for any situation.



Be it sports or just a portrait of a person you have the flexibility to shape light the way you need. I am so happy I got to know about Kallos Studio. They have a fully equipped studio with the best and high end products of profoto.



As a photographer I can understand any other photographer will feel home as the equipment are of high end and highest reliability.

After learning there was a new profoto dealer in Alberta I checked them out. Made a few purchases and then rented the space for a photoshoot. As typical some plans of the shoot changed, then changed again, and then changed the morning of. TaeHo made sure he was there for the entire time of the shoot, let me try out some gear that I never thought I would be able to and taught me a bunch. He made a great shoot even better. After the shoot I will now be looking into their printing capabilities as well.
