Kananaskis Whitewater Rafting Description
K. W. R. (formerly known as Rainbow Riders) has been setting the standards in whitewater rafting since 1990. Guides are chosen for their commitment to serious fun and are thoroughly trained in Swift Water Rescue, First Aid and CPR.
Kananaskis Whitewater Rafting also takes part in one of the fastest growing river sports today, riverboarding. Swimming right in the water, you feel the current propell you as you ride atop your light and durable riverboard. Following your profesional riverboard guide down river you will get the opportunity to try surfing some waves, holes and navigate through a kayak slalom course.
(Riverboarders must be physically fit and athletic swimmers. Minimum age of 16 years old)
We run ~2 hour trips from June to September at 10am & 2pm daily from Lusk Creek day use area, located off of Highway 40.
45 minutes west of Calgary in Alberta's Bow Valley.
20 minutes east of Canmore.

Went on 13th august 2016, did class 2/3 on Kananaskis river. Our guide was Josh and he was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed everything even though I can't swim lol. Our boys enjoyed hanging off the bridge and jumping in, loved trying to stay on the raft as we purposefully spun it, it was just a fantastic experience all round :-)
