Kappa Sigma is an international men's social fraternity, based in the state of Virginia, with over 300 chapters and colonies across North America. Over 230, 000 undergraduates have made the choice to join Kappa Sigma during their university years, and Kappa Sigma is proudly the most preferred fraternity among undergraduates, consistently experiencing significantly increased growth rates compared to other men's fraternities.

Kappa Sigma has four key pillars: scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service. As in all social fraternities, social activities are important, but they're not all we do. Our members are united in their commitment to academic success, personal development, and community service. Because of this, membership in Kappa Sigma is perhaps the best way to supplement the standard experiences that come with an undergraduate degree.

At the University of Alberta, Kappa Sigma has become a recognized group on campus. We get things done – our members are part of a huge range of clubs, and as a group we organize large community service events such as our annual hair butch. Also we volunteer with local community organizations regularly. We're proud of our school, and we're excited to be Kappa Sigmas at the University of Alberta
