Kartār Description
Kartār is a modern design store, sort of a new-age design space. Apart from our own work, we showcase and promote a handful of other talented artists and designers from North America.
While conventional wood and metal furniture is available, the space also contains unconventional items made from concrete, glass, LED's and organic textiles.
Sustainability is engrained in the very core of the showroom. It doesn't just mean buying and making green, but also local and close to home. The socio and economic impacts of how far goods travel to reach us has a massive ecological footprint and we try to stay mindful about this. We use robust materials to build long lasting products, so they don't have to be discarded and add to our problematic landfills or go to energy consuming recycling. Finally, we create timeless designs that can be passed on from generation to generation.
