THE KID BEHIND KIDDO
I'm a small town girl living in the big city. I grew up the small town of Pierceland, Saskatchewan but am currently residing and growing my roots in Calgary, Alberta with my amazing husband, David, and beautiful little boy, Blake.

Growing up my Dad had a couple nicknames for me like Rugrat, Bug and Wing-nut. But the one that stuck with me all the way to present day was "Kiddo". Whenever I hear someone say Kiddo I immediately think of my Dad and it brings a smile to my face. I think that's why I started calling Blake that without evening thinking. It just came naturally.

With that being said, it came without hesitations to have the word Kiddo in my shop name. I added Kasual and Handmade to it because nothing I make is fancy, it's all for everyday wearing and enjoyment . . . and I make it all by hand.

I absolutely love going shopping for new fabrics and am a frequent visitor of the fabric store. I'm sure I will be known by first name there very soon. I also thoroughly enjoy sewing and creating. I grew up watching my Mom sew. She would let me design bedroom sets, western shirts and figure skating dresses. I would pick the material and then she would create the pattern and the finished masterpiece. I always knew I wanted to be just like her when I had a kid of my own.

I've always been a creative person and have finally decided to share my love with Canada. Everything I make is made with love and care. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do.
