About Kelly Guenter Music
Kelly Guenter lives in Calgary, Alberta. She has played violin for over 20 years and is an active member of many different music groups and genres, including celtic folk fiddling, world music, classical, jazz, improvisation, and sacred. Kelly has been the pupil of Nolana Baillargeon, under whom she established her classical technique and began to learn folk styles of music, and then Jeff Plotnick, who taught Kelly how to connect to and portray emotion through her violin. In addition to teaching violin, Kelly has played with different music groups, including the Calgary Fiddlers, The University of Calgary Orchestra, and The University of Calgary World Music Ensemble, and is currently a singer in Harmony Through Harmony, a mixed choir. She has toured many places, including South Korea, the United Kingdoms, and extensively in North America.
