Today the wonderful veterinarians and nurses at the clinic gave my cat Himself a new lease on life. While evacuated from Fort McMurray earlier this year I met Dr. Lennox. For almost 5 years we had medical issues with Himself. The issues had escalated over time. We had resigned ourselves to medicating our cat twice a day and being on constant vigil for when he got constipated and then rushing him to a clinic for an emergency enema. Although these expensive trips to the vet were frequent the money was never the issue. Rather the issue was always the pain and trauma it caused to our cat. We honestly felt the best thing was to have him put down. That there was no way to improve his quality of life. This is how I opened the conversation with Dr. Lennox.

Dr. Lennox listened to my story then proceeded to gave us alternatives. Today, her and her team successfully removed his colon. Although we are not out of the woods yet I do know that Himself the cat now has an incredible chance of living without pain and his humans living without around the clock surveillance for signs of him having bowel issues leading to death. He is a beautiful animal and I look forward to him sleeping on my pillow beside me each and every night, purring contentedly. If it were not for being referred to the Killarney Cat Clinic this sleeping arrangement would not still exist! (We are celebrating by treating ourselves to new pillows!)

Thank you so so much from Himself, his kitty sisters, his dog slaves, and his humans. The whole zoo is happy he is coming home to preside over us.

This place is full of wonderful, caring people who really love our fur babies! I am so happy whenever I hear about another precious pet who is now healthy and happy due to this fabulous place!

User

They went above and beyond for me and my pet! They took the time to explain the products that were recommended. I also feel like the prices were very reasonable.

User

The kind and considerate vets at Killarney Cat Hospital takes very good care of us and our cats. I highly recommend them.

User

Thanks again for trimming Kimmer's nails/claws. :)

Our senior cat got sick and we were unable to get into our vet. Called Killarney Cat Hospital and they got us in the same day. The staff was wonderful, kind and knowledgeable. Tests were completed on site as we waited. The vet explained what she was doing and what our options were. Unfortunately our cat had to be put down, however the kindness everyone showed to us was during this time was exceptional. Thank you to all.

If you are in need of a vet, we highly recommend this place.

My tiny senior kitty got sick and was having trouble breathing. I'd never been to the Killarney Cat Hospital before, but I called and they were able to get us in right away. The Staff, Vet Techs and Doctors are excellent, it's immediately apparent they really care about the animals and owners they deal with.

Nothing at all was done without it being fully explained and okay'd.

I highly recommend anyone looking for a new vet (or a better vet) to try these folks out.

My kitties receive THE best care at the Killarney Cat Hospital. The staff are welcoming, friendly and always have time to deal with me, as I am the occasionally panicked owner of a cat with a chronic illness. I don't think I'd still have my Gixx if it wasn't for the wonderful care he has received from Dr. Liz and the rest of the amazing crew. I appreciate the openness to trying different approaches to manage his illness. Thank you SO MUCH! :)

My beloved 18-year-old cat finally had to be put down this week. Dr Tasha and her team came to my house and gave my cat the dignified, loving and stress-free exit that he deserved. They were extremely sensitive and caring. And their care over the years has been exemplary. Thank you very much for everything. You were Rueben's angels of mercy.

Killarney's Team recently cared for my sweet kitty with a number of items - All team members have been amazing - the best care I have had for my kitties. I cannot even thank them enough for everything.

I’ve got a little story to tell.

Last Christmas, my youngest cat Edgar (Allen Poe) started chewing on my artificial tree and despite my efforts to stop him, he ended up eating so much of it that it clogged up and stretched his colon. I brought him to a vet and it ended up costing a crippling $750. Since then, he’s had to have regular enemas and laxatives to keep him functional. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, he began to struggle and I had to do something. I, like so many others right now, am in financial crises. I did some research and prepared myself for the cost as much as I could.

I brought him to The Killarney Cat Hospital and laid out the situation. They had a look and determined that his colon was on its last legs and without intervention, he wouldn’t make it. Over the last week, he’s spent three days there getting full treatment including sedation, IV fluids, x-rays, enemas, medication, and baths. In the end, between the treatment and informed strategies, they saved his life.

This should have had a price tag in the thousands. It didn’t. The unbelievable folks there used a fund (the Oscar fund, there own in-house charity) and volunteered their own time and effort to rescue Edgar and send him home. Not only did they save my family member, they renewed my faith that not all humans suck.

If you get a chance, please give them a good google review, bring your cats there, and donate to the Oscar fund. This is the kind of generosity and compassion we should all strive to. Thank you Killarney Cat Hospital

I've never been to this clinic, I'll admit. But I am most definitely going to bring my kitties here next time I need to see the kitty doctor!

I have moved to Calgary from a small town, and was sad to say goodbye to the excellent care that our vet had given us.

Since the move, I've been confused as to how to go about finding a good clinic for my kitties as there are SO many options in such a big city.

I've heard amazing things about this clinic, and recently they stepped up to help an acquaintance in need. Her experience with the staff there was very reminiscent of the great care I received at my previous vet. They really went out of their way to help her out when she was in need, when so many other clinics turned her away.

You've left such an impression with me that I'm confident that you will be able to give my two kitties the best care I can get, and that you truly care for all of your lovely patients. Thank you for being compassionate, you have earned another client.

User

I love this vet. Needed in last minute for a none emergency rabies shot for my cat. The ladies got Samara in same day(I lucked out) and have even offered to assist me in filling out some confusing travel pet forms. Thanks for always going the extra mile.

User

I had to board my cat on short notice and it turned out the cat hospital was able to take her. She was very well taken care of and the staff was great to deal with. I think my cat would have preferred I leave her there as she was having an awesome time. I will definitely be using the boarding services here again!

User

I first chose this clinic because of the flawless Google reviews, and I was definitely not disappointed! You can really tell that the staff here care for their patients as much as the owners, and they really go above and beyond to make the vet visit as stress-free as possible. I really love that the cats are allowed to explore the exam room as well, instead of being locked in a carrier the whole time. Many thanks to this clinic for the excellent care and service.

Dr. Kean is honestly one of the best vets we’ve come across in our moves around the country. I highly recommend this clinic. The only thing I would have liked that I’ve gotten elsewhere is a “report card” on our kitties health to keep for my files.

Staff are all knowledgeable and kind. Keep up the great work guys!

User

Dr. Kean and all the staff at Killarney are amazing. I have switched vets (despite being farther away) to see her and she now cares for all three of my kitties. They also offer payment plans for your kitties that may require some extras. Thank you Killarney Cat Hospital and Dr. Tasha Kean!

User

Always amazing service ♡ Xena & Radhwan always love boarding when I'm away and the doctors and staff are always so good with them and patient during appointments ♡
