Singer/Songwriters Katelyn Steinwand aka Tiger Sister and Heidi Schanklies will be serenading you with some original songs.
Heidi Schanklies is a local alternative artist who’s new year resolution was to push past blockades of songwriting. incorporating more soul into her originals, she found where she truly wanted to be. With musical influences such as supertramp, moses sumney, and peach pit among variou...s local musicians, heidi has established a style like never before.
Tiger Sister wants to get you to feel again. Her music does not shy away from the contemplative, from exploring emotional realms that can be, at times, uncomfortable and disruptive. In the midst of living in a postmodern, late-stage capitalist society seemingly determined to destroy itself in various ways, Tiger Sister creates music unafraid to explore the strange, shifting sorrow, grief, melancholy, frustration, loneliness and helplessness felt in reaction to being situated in this particular cultural epoch, yet at the same time, remains cognizant and in awe of all the moments of beauty, wonder and joy that simultaneously surround us; giving recognition to both darkness and light and infinite shades of grey.
