Been going here for 7 years and Sam has never let me down, amazing service and fun environment.

I had my first appointment with Sam earlier today and I can't say enough good things about my entire experience. Sam is a lovely man who really takes the time to listen to what you want and he 110% delivers. I had hesitations about going to someone new and I am completely blown away at how much I love my hair. Sam really understood what I wanted and what would look good and gave me exactly what I wanted. Sam and his team are awesome and I would recommend anyone and everyone go to them!!!!!!!

I am extremely fussy about my hair only because I have had past bad experiences by stylists at other salons. One day several years ago I went into La Bella to purchase hair products and Sam offered me a special price to try their service. I did and I've never been to another stylist since.
Sam spent considerable time and effort getting to know me and my hair. My hair is not particularly coarse but there is a lot of it and it gets quite heavy as I try to grow it out. Sam listens to what I ask for, I feel comfortable trusting his opinion and he does not rush the service.
The deep conditioning hair treatment that he uses is amazing. The prices are very reasonable for the service you receive. The atmosphere of the salon is great; the staff make you feel welcome and comfortable. The location is perfect for lunch or after work appointments. I highly recommend La Bella Salon!

I've been going to Sam for over 6 years now. He is the best hairdresser in calgary by far and I've tried many when I first came to calgary 7 years ago. He is polite, considerate and his rates are very low.

He has a magic cut and gives the best advice for colour. He makes me feel like a million dollars every time I come into the shop and I leave feeling and looking great. I always look forward to getting my hair done and have the utmost confidence is his skills.

He continually goes out of his way to make me feel at home and to make sure I get exactly what I want.

Highly recommend Sam at La Bella and I'd never go anywhere else.

Brutal. A dive that charges high end prices. Do not waste your money here. Sam tells you he will do a good job and give you a deal. However he never gets all ur roots and then tries to argue with you that he never does a bad job. At the same time he tries to tell you it looks good. I have been twice. The first time I thought it was just st because he was getting to know my hair. However the second visit was even more awful. I spent $225 and still have roots that look like 3 months' growth, and he was incredibly rough with my hair - leaving it in worse condition than when I went in. They spend way too much focus on socializing instead of their job. To make it worse they state they have no business to make you feel bad for them which is obviously a ploy to prevent questioning of the their prices. It's a crappy place that charges the same as a high end salon. Honestly if u want to pay their prices, you're better off going to a high end place.

I just called to make an appointment and told the Salon that I would be using a Groupon. He asked if I had ever used a Groupon there before and I said yes I had, several months ago. He said it doesn't matter how long ago it was, you can only use a Groupon once per person. He said Groupon should not have sold me the Groupon and I should ask for a refund. He was quite snarky about it too! I called Groupon and of course they wouldn't give me a refund, only credit Groupon dollars good for a trade it. All round unsatisfactory day!!!

Sam spent A LOT of time and effort to help me get the hair colour that I wanted. I am sure he will try to accommodate your needs.

My hair is dark brown and was disappointed by how the balayage turned out ( previously) because the tops looked black-brown and the bottoms were brown. Sam fixed it without dying my black roots. He just did extra hi lights, and it turned out GREAT. My sister was VERY VERY impressed by how the roots of my hair turned out. It turned out looking a very nice shade of brown without dying it. I really liked how my hair turned out today.

My hair was dyed twice this week, but it looked very healthy today. My sister commented on how healthy and voluminous it looked. It did not look damaged at all.

He also is the best hair stylist ( that I know of) in terms of curling hair. The deep conditioning hair treatment that he used is amazing.

La Bella treats me like family. Sammy the owner is a great guy and does an amazing job cutting my hair every time. One time they were having lunch and had me join them before I got my hair cut! Love this place, I've had my hair done by 4 different people at Bella and they all did a fantastic job.

Love this place! Great staff and service (Thanks Sam and team!). Very relaxing and affordable. Perfect location for lunch or after work appointments. Definitely recommended!
