I’ve escaped the farm for four months and am spending my winter playing in the snow at this ski resort - meaning I’ll be on here a lot less. See y’all in the spring ❄️

Definitely lucked out having this beautiful couple for my first large wedding installation. I mean, the flowers are pretty, but @andreamarquart is definitely the stand-out in this photo, right @whoisbettygrable? 👰🏻

Thankful to even have the opportunity for turkeys to shit on me. 🍂🍃🍂

My HoneyBee baby was run over last night. But she’s okay. Her hind feet have sick pink bandages on them, and she’s been relegated to the house until they’re healed up. I was a devote cat person before Honey. Living alone, rurally, I thought a dog might protect my cats, chickens, and myself from bad guys. But our relationship has become so much more. She goes everywhere I do, and spends most of the day with me. She’s my best friend. And I’m so glad she came away from the incident with only a few beat up toes and the lesson that cars can bite harder than she can. 💛🖤💛🖤

How amazing is this bouquet gonna look with a rainy backdrop? Excited to hand this one off to today’s bride :) Everything except a few flowers in this bouquet was grown by me, and the ones that weren’t, were generously given to me by friends. 💐 • Getting married next spring/summer/fall? Get in touch. I can grow the flowers you want, in the colours you want, and then on your big day, arrange them in the way you want. ❤️❤️❤️ #grownnotflown #supportlocal #flowerfarmer #localflowers #albertabrides #2019wedding #fallfeels #centralalberta #stettler

My last Garden Grab Bags of the season go out on Thursday. Finally have corn, and despite being stunted in size, is very tasty. 🌽🌽🌽

Second to last week for Garden Grab Bags! Carrots (thanks @fifthgengardens :)), potatoes, apples, tomatoes, onions, squash, cabbage, and garlic! 🍎🍎🍎

My tomato and squash plants are black and withered. My flowers are all shedding their petals. This wasn’t a banner year, but there were sure as hell some spectacular moments. I’ve learned so much since starting out, but not enough to make a living doing this crazy thing called farming. Next year will be different, just as this year was different from last. One thing is for sure: MORE FLOWERS! 🌸 📷: @detourphoto
