My HoneyBee baby was run over last night. But she’s okay. Her hind feet have sick pink bandages on them, and she’s been relegated to the house until they’re healed up. I was a devote cat person before Honey. Living alone, rurally, I thought a dog might protect my cats, chickens, and myself from bad guys. But our relationship has become so much more. She goes everywhere I do, and spends most of the day with me. She’s my best friend. And I’m so glad she came away from the incident with only a few beat up toes and the lesson that cars can bite harder than she can. 💛🖤💛🖤

How amazing is this bouquet gonna look with a rainy backdrop? My last Garden Grab Bags of the season go out on Thursday. Finally have corn, and despite being stunted in size, is very tasty. 🌽🌽🌽

Second to last week for Garden Grab Bags! Carrots (thanks @fifthgengardens :)), potatoes, apples, tomatoes, onions, squash, cabbage, and garlic! 🍎🍎🍎

My tomato and squash plants are black and withered. My flowers are all shedding their petals. This wasn’t a banner year, but there were sure as hell some spectacular moments. I’ve learned so much since starting out, but not enough to make a living doing this crazy thing called farming. Next year will be different, just as this year was different from last. Week 9! Baby fennel, parsley, tomatoes, cukes, kale, garlic, leeks, beets, and of course, zucchini. I think this is one of my last weeks (crazy right?). My garden has already been touched by frost, and I’m on holidays next week! Helllloooo winter!

First attempt making garlic braids and I’m pretty tickled with the outcome. 🙊

Castor! Coming at you this week with snap peas, kohlrabi, lettuce, kale, summer squash, cucumbers, hot pepper, beets, sage, thyme, and lemon balm! AND! Honey!!!!! 🐝🐝🐝

Week 6, my friends. Potatoes and carrots and beans and onions and broccoli and lettuce and Swiss chard and celery and oregano. Plus a bouquet add on that’s sending some serious fall vibes. I guess it is August. 🤷🏼‍♀️
