Please take note of our Holiday Hours. *Christmas Eve 9am - 10pm *Christmas Day 12pm - 5pm... *New Years Eve 9am - 10pm *New Years Day 8am - 10pm
The office will be closed Christmas Day and New Years Day. Otherwise, we will be on our normal schedule of 1-5pm Mon, Tue and Thu and 10am - 5pm on Sat.

Wow! What a turn out we had at our Christmas Skate at the Lake last night. Santa was very impressed with all of our Bonavista Christmas Spirit. Thank you to everyone who came out to spend some holiday time with us. And thank you to our very own neighbourhood Santa for popping by. It was a very merry evening indeed.

Ice Update:
All ice surfaces are open for skating.
Top Rink - Conditioned with the Zamboni and in very good shape.
... Falls Rink, Inn Rink and Bonus Rink - Flooded but not conditioned with the Zamboni. In ok shape, but rough in some areas.
Lake Path - Cleared but not flooded or or conditioned with the Zamboni. Very rough in areas. Use Caution.

Bring the family over to the lake tonight for our Christmas Skate at the Lake 6pm - 8pm. The Top Rink and Lake Rinks will be open (lake rinks open this afternoon). There will be hot chocolate and treats, a little Christmas craft, and a visit from our own neighbourhood Santa. Come enjoy the lights and some holiday time with your neighbours.

Good morning Lake Bonavista!
We have some good news. The Falls Rink and the two Hockey Rinks (the Inn Rink and the Bonus Rink) will be open tomorrow afternoon (Friday Dec 21) for skating. We are going to do one more day of flooding to get the ice in better condition. The ice is still too thin for our zamboni. So tomorrow afternoon we should be open. Please note, it’s rough in spots.
The skating path around the lake will hopefully be plowed in the next few days.
... The Top Rink is open and the ice looks great.

Hey Neighbours! Surprise... the top rink is open a day early. We will have skating up top today until 7pm. Starting Monday the park will start closing at 10pm.

It’s a Winter Wonderland around here.

Join us as we celebrate Winter Recreation with our Winter Family Fun Day at the Lake! We will have all of the regular winter activities including skating, pond hockey, sledding, family winter walks, and ice fishing (catch and release only). And we will be adding a few more activities to make the day extra enjoyable, including a cold weather scavenger hunt and winter themed crafts. Enjoy free hot dogs (from 11:30-1:30pm) and hot chocolate.
