Have you ever wondered why you never see people swimming in Lake Louise? Lake Louise is glacially fed, meaning the water temperature rarely rises above 10° C(or 50° F for our friends south of the border). Try submerging your hand in the water the next time you visit to see how cold it feels! *Brrrr*

What a difference a day can make! It is looking a lot like winter today at the The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola. Is anyone counting down the days until ski season? #WinterinJuly

With some of the most beautiful lakes and vistas in the world, it's no surprise that it can be difficult (or impossible) to find a place to park during the summer in Lake Louise. Worry not! Parks Canada has implemented a FREE park and ride program to get you from your hotel to the most popular attractions in Banff and Lake Louise.

We are loving the moodiness of the Valley of Ten Peaks in this incredible shot by @mimophoto (IG).

Our experience was wonderful in every way. I cannot think of one aspect of our visit that was not of 5 star quality. The facility itself in every way and the level of service from all the staff was equally superb. Thanks Lake Louise Inn for helping makie our visit to Jasper and Banff a fantastic one.

User

Loved it!! Renovations ATM but what they are doing is going to be fabulous. Italian restaurant was sublime! Best fettuccine bolognaise we've had at a restaurant and Tiramisu was to die for!!!! Highly recommend! The pool was awesome set in beautiful surroundings and the spa even had views of snow capped mountains. Bed was one of the best in Canada so far!!! Staff are friendly and accomodating. We stayed in main block train is a little noisy but by at least 10:30pm we didn't hear any more till morning. Great short walk into little shopping village. At base of mountain where you go to get to lake louise.

User

I had some of the best moments there. Great staff, good food, shuttle service and amenities are great. Love this place!

User

Great value for price. Excellent service. rooms do have thin walls and hard beds however, it totally makes up for it with the swim area (adult exclusive 9-10pm) , and the amazing dining It also has many complimentary services -one being a shuttle directly to Louise #winning

User

Great place to stay for a weekend of snowboarding with family and friends

User

Great location and rooms. Awesome pool and sauna. Receptionist Mel was spot on with service 👌🏼

User

Got stuck in a snow storm last week and they were very kind and helpful to us! They gave us a discount on the room too.

User

Excellent value!! Clean rooms!! Awesome shower pressure feels like a massage!! Timberwolf pizza and pasta was scrumptious Gazebo fire was lovely! Definitely recommend staying here! Our second time here in last 3 Years

User

Awesome little lodging! Only stayed a couple of days but very happy all around, great rooms, great restaurants, friendly staff, walking distance to small shopping village.

User

We only stayed one night but wanted to stay longer. Great people from the front desk to servers and kitchen staff all very friendly. Thanks for the great hospitality.

The snow at Lake Louise was fantastic also. Great food and close to walking and skiing trails

We’ll be back sooner than later.

User

My husband and I stayed here last night. The room was adequate. We were on the 4th floor so we woke up to an amazing view of the mountains outside our door. When we went for breakfast this morning, we had the best service!! The food was the best we've had and our server was outstanding. Unfortunately we did not catch her name but she had blonde hair and we overheard that she's from Quebec. Top class morning all round Would definitely return here in the near future. Lucy & Paul from Donegal, Ireland

User

Lovely staff, both restaurants served great evening meals at reasonable prices.

The room was clean and provided all the essentials. The decor in the rooms was dated but we weren’t in there much.

User

Good place to rest after a day of skiing but if there are noisy neighbours good luck getting any sleep as the walls are pretty thin. However, the pool and hot tubs are great and the lounge is very nice

User

There's lots of us here this weekend and all while there is some renovations going on in the main block where restaurants and pool is. Not so bad but would be nice if proper signs indicating directions to places would be great. Room is adequate. Can't complain but wasn't happy about finding dirty dishes and broken glass around the fridge. Expressed concerns to staff and they fixed things asap. I would stay here again

User

The staff and location was great, walking distance to the village, very clean. Our bathroom was incredibly small, had to walk sideways around the toilet to use the counter and mirror, no fridge, limited food choices, expensive room, expensive food and when I asked for grape jelly for my toast the staff had no idea what grape jelly was...

User

Disgusting! Woke up at 3:25am sweating as the room was very hot, called the front desk staff who introduced himself as Michael who said there is no air conditioning in the hotel and I can just open the windows I I want to cool down the room. The TV was not working and I called the front desk to ask for someone to fix it, called again after 30 minutes, nobody came to look at it t all. If you have any choice, don't stay in this hotel.

User

We stayed here this past weekend, almost every dish was dirty, the bathroom upstairs in our suite was dirty (mould/mildew in the shower and around the sink), the wall paper was peeling off the walls in both the bathroom and in many areas around the suite. The carpet was filthy covered in stains, the thing that really bothered me was we paid for a suite with kitchen and one element on the stove was broken and the oven didn't work at all. For how much we paid to stay here I am throughly disappointed, we were not offered any form of compensation or anything. I will not stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone. This was the worst quality hotel I've ever stayed in, not clean and incredibly run down, and poor customer service.

User

Staying here right now, regrettably. At $300 + a night you should have 1) a bed that fits two people and 2) a space to set luggage. Not asking for much! Not even asking for A/C (which this hotel doesn't have). This is a very old thin-walled motel from yesteryear but they charge 4* prices and market the property like it isn't a beat up old mess. It's a scam to catch first time tourists. Plain and simple.

To the hotel:

Just because you CAN charge people and not maintain a basic level of hospitality, doesn't mean you SHOULD. The people behind the marketing of this hotel should be more honest about its limitations. The people who own it should spend some of the cash raining down on them on making much needed upgrades. Finally, PLEASE stop with the scam where you make people upgrade to get a queen bed. That's not the right thing to do and you should be ashamed. And yes, it's a scam.

Staff do seem nice and people are largely trying to make the best of it as there are few alternatives. If you are seeking a nice clean space and you have worked hard to earn your vacation, just do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

User

Staying here for our honeymoon. Booked a standard queen bedroom, ended up with 2 single beds. They said they were heavily booked and had nothing available until I asked if there was anything but had to pay an extra fee for. Was not worth the extra money that we had to spend. All other hotels have put us in a suite or king bedroom free of charge if there was no one bedrooms available since it's not our fault that what you have booked is not available. Was not happy having to pay the extra money for something that is not worth it and is not our fault. Staff were rude, very unfriendly, no social skills. All staff that work at lake Louise inn need to realise they are in the business of customer service. If they don't enjoy working with customers then they should find a new career.
