I started my love for photography in the 1960's using my grandfather's Brownie camera. In 1999, I enrolled in a formal education at Mount Royal University in photography and processing. I continued my education at SAIT, and finally decided to gain my formal education at the New York Institute of Photography in both film and digital photography.

My initial love was landscapes and wild life. My photographs were used by the California Audubon Society for teaching situations, they were also used on signage around the walking shores of Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota, by Bashaw Processors in their educational materials concerning their grain elevators, and on the Yellow Pages cover for St. Albert, Alberta. My pictures have also been used by the Calgary Herald in print, online, and in their printed book "The Flood of 2013".

After winning the NYIP Deans award for portrait photography, I found my love in photographing people - mainly children.

I am certified by the Professional Photographer of America, Canadian Chapter.
