Hi, I'm Leslie

I believe we spend our lives figuring out how to live while often avoiding the reality of death. The risk is that we miss the opportunity to tap into this incredible resource of wisdom. Embracing mortality and having a conversation about it helps to clearly define what is essential, guiding our decisions and actions in the present and at the end. What if you designed your life intentionally with the end in mind?

This all began in 2013 when I met my husband Don shortly after he was “cleared” of cancer. A mere 15 months later, it returned, and we began his end-of-life journey that came to a close in December 2018.

Don did not like to talk about death. Conversations were left unsaid, his estate was not in order, and I spent the following year cleaning up what was left behind, all while immersed in grief.

My quest is to ensure others travel a different path. ​ Through bold conversations, coaching, workshops, and speaking, I explore and discover what matters most in life and death.

For the past 20 years I have been working in the arena of human development. I have a BA in Psychology and Women Studies. I am a Certified Professional Coach, Certified Mediator, a professional Facilitator, and Speaker. I volunteer with Calgary Hospice supporting those living with cancer as well as who are grieving the loss of a family member.

I live with my three children in Calgary, who are embarking on their coming of age journeys. It is a wonderful time to be alive!
