Lester B. Pearson High School is a public senior high school located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada administered by the Calgary Board of Education. The school is named for Nobel Laureate and Canadian Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson. The school has offered the French Immersion program since 2003 and in the following year of September 2004, Lester B. Pearson became a fully accredited International Baccalaureate School. In December 2011, the Fraser Institute ranked Lester B. Pearson 189th out of 279 high schools in Alberta. It is the only public high-school found in the North-East quadrant of Calgary. LocationLester B. Pearson High School is located in Northeast Calgary and serves the four communities of Pineridge, Rundle, Temple, and Whitehorn. Junior High feeder schools to Lester B. Pearson are Annie Gale, Clarence Sansom and Dr. Gordon Higgins. Pearson is also the destination high school for all French Immersion and International Baccalaureate students east of Deerfoot Trail. The feeder school for the Immersion program is Bob Edwards Junior High School.
