User

Dear Santa... 🎁 This special #panettone is a unique piece born from the idea of two Italian icons: Dolce & Gabbana and @fisconaro The design is the symbol of Sicily, representing the Opera dei Pupi (a traditional Sicilian Opera) as the ingredients of the Christmas cake: lemons, oranges, mandarins and saffron. A product that you really need to have under your Christmas tree! #linasmarket #christmas

Was here last week shopping for the Football Supper....Awesome...great Christmas packages...I would love them all!!! Lovely visit with a "new" friend... and the Almond Croissant and Large Cap was out of this world. The best part is greeting the staff who have been sooo good to me. Many of us share a similar "health" journey! Great place!!!Love it!!! This is 5 star all the way!!!

User

Today was my first visit to Lina's and it was amazing! Friendly staff, quick service and delicious food! We will definitely be coming back!

User

Stopped in for a bowl of chicken tortellini soup - most delish bowl of soup I've had in years! What is in it??

User

Literally the greatest cannoli I have ever had. Pastry was perfection, so delicate and flaky. And the dilling was rich and slightly tart with a subtle hint of orange. Incredible job. It's been hoyra since I had it and haven't shut up about it since!

User

Lina's is not only a great community grocery store with the best cheese counter, they care about their clients and the community they live in. I am a client for life.

User

Lina's has always been a pretty special place. For groceries, breakfast, lunch, coffee or a snack, it is the closest thing we have to a European, neighborhood, casual dining experience. The food is made from scratch, made with love and is affordable. We didn't think it could get better but the recent changes have indeed, made Lina's even better. The menu is not too different but the twists are amazing, the grocery selection more vast yet the neighborhood feel of the "old" Lina's remains intact and a special place may be even more special now!

User

I have driven past Lena’s for years but have never gone in. Tonight my son and I decided to pop in for dessert and coffee. It was more than worth the wait! The desserts were absolutely delicious as was the coffee and everything was so reasonably priced ! I can’t wait to bring my husband here!

User

Great staff and tasty food! The cafe in the store has better food that most of those fancy places downtown. Don't miss out and come and visit!

User

Great food, so fresh and amazing selection. The staff is super friendly and very helpful

User

Everything was perfect, customer service, foods, and the price. It was my first time. For sure I'll be back and tell my friends to visit this lovely place.

Fantastic, keep up the great job.

User

An amazing place with a family feel! Love all the products the atmosphere and the staff is so so helpful and friendly

User

Absolutely loved this place, my Daughter also loved and my husband. Our first time coming to this Market keep up the great work

User

So disappointing to see this place going down hill. The deli counter is 1/3 of what it used to be and it seems like they've changed suppliers for a lot of the meats. (Where's the Abruzzo Sopresatta. The new Calabrese Sopresatta supplier pales in comparison to the old stuff). Cheese counter is half of what it was. Antipasto bar has shrunk. Where they used to have several brands of canned tomatoes there are now just a couple. Except to maybe grab some pizza dough, unfortunately I think I'm done with Lina's.

User

I went already three times to buy bread at Lina's, to my sorprise they change almost all of them! There are other Italian stores in the city but none of them have the bread I love. For that reason I will not come back because I can find the rest of the products in the other Italian places. Change is good in some cases and I don't think this is a good one. Bye, bye!

User

Every year for the last 7 years I used to come to Lina's and drop around $400 on special items for Christmas. This year I'm so disappointed! I learned that the store has been sold and Lina has retired. For shame! They did not have my favourite Belissima organic plum tomatos, no more choice in packaged mozzarella, no more homemade lasagna noodles. No more good ricotta! The deli counter staff also sliced my capicolo way too thick. Their beautiful buns are no more! I'm just heartbroken. One thing they do have going for them is their store manager and deli managers are gems!! Extremely helpful and they were very apologetic!! They helped me find alternatives for most of the items I needed so I wouldn't have to stop anywhere else. I will say I probably will go elsewhere next time. Very sad. I hope the new owner realizes that it was the home made items and choice that made Lina's so special! There are too many places that have the cheap bakery breads and common cheeses. Good luck

User

You people have destroyed the character and charm of this store! The cheese, Deli meat, olive pasta , olive oil , etc .., selections have dwindled to bare minimum with cheaper substitutes in their place, at higher prices !!Do you think the Calgary community and the Italian Calgarians are stupid?! A Saturday at Lina's used to be like crazy and energetic like Times Square, now it is dead. You are losing people!

There are other Specialty shops, and Italian stores in this City. The consumer will be the ultimate judge.

User

Went there yesterday with 3 kids , the worst experience ever not worth talking about , never again.

User

We shop here often because we've always felt it's one of the best places in town for fresh italian goods. On Sunday, we went there on our regular visit and ended up purchasing some buffalo mozzarella that was just being put out by some grocery staff... After eating it with some sour taste, we saw that it had expired 11 days prior!! We are absolutely shocked that the staff would put out expired goods such as this... The cheese ruined our whole lunch.... No one from the store has even returned our call. Pretty sad.

User

If Lina could see what you have done to her store she would be mortified. What she took years to build you have literally run into the ground. No more fresh bread, Dempster, really, Compliments garbage bags on your metal shelving. The huge empty space at the front of the makes one feel like they are walking into a warehouse. I especially liked seeing sandwiches wrapped in plastic wrap in the case, looks like 7-11. Used to be a fun, energetic store, not anymore. Nothing Italian about this store, just Lina's name. Do her a favour and remove her name, this store does her a disservice. Lots of other authentic Italian markets to choose from. Had been a faithful customer since she open, not anymore. Do Lina a favour and remove her name, this store isn't hers, isn't what she built, you do her name a disservice.
