Lina'S Italian Market & Cafe

Great Italian imports of olive oils, pastas and kitchenwares. Restaurant portion is busy. Offering nice olives, salads and pasta dishes.

Gelato, pizza and espresso, oh my! Lina's is a perfect lunch spot and a great place to pick up specialty groceries. So lucky to have a place like this in our neighbourhood!

Not really sure what's going on with Lina's in the last month or so. For groceries, there is much less to choose from than before. Are they getting out of the Italian grocery business? Only ONE brand of regular spaghetti noodles to choose from, never even heard of it. What happened to the DeCecco brand? For the first time in 8 years of shopping there, I now need to go elsewhere for my pasta :(

Tomato basil soup needed more to it. Tasted like a pureed tomato. I paid $17 bucks for soup, a small meatball sub and a flavorless donught kinda thing. Something DID smell amazing I that place. I'll have to try again and see if it's better next time..

This is a bustling place on a weekend! Seems authentic if the accents are any indication. :) If you need a quick dinner grab some pizza dough and some topping from the deli counter and you're off to the races. They have some lovely bruschetta as well. There's a cafe inside too if you'd like to stay for your espresso...but don't expect a seat on the weekends!

What's not to love about Lina's? Great Italian grocery store with a good selection of anything Italian (and not Italian), quality baked goods and a great little cafe. There's a kitchen gadgets area where you can buy things like pizza stones, moka pots and other such gadgets. The parking lot is typically very full with small stalls so be careful finding a spot.

Try their small restaurant/canteen. Food is just delicious. Coffee is almost like in Italy. Also you can find good choice of Italian goods in the shop.

It's hard not to think of this store as a very expensive place to get your groceries. Many of the products they sell can be found in big-chain grocery stores, and the produce is crazy expensive.

Instead, I'd stick to the deli and cafe, which have fantastic, authentic Italian snacks and drinks. It's a great place to meet up for coffee or lunch, and the prices are pretty good.

So many reasons to love Lina's. From amazing deli, cheese and veggies ... The European brands it brings in makes one want to linger in the aisles. Great big cup lattes in their Cafe.
