Little Friends Preschool

Little Friends Nursery Centre is a non-profit parent cooperative preschool for children ages 19 mos. to 5 years with a learning through play philosophy. We're located in Crestwood.

There are three morning programs at Little Friends:

1. The Toddler Room – a relatively unique program in Edmonton, as it offers a morning program for children as young as 19 months, up to three years of age. This class has a maximum number of 9 children per day and runs Tuesday to Friday.
2. The Playroom – designed for three-year olds with age-appropriate activities and toys to stimulate them emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually. This class has a maximum number of 16 children and operates Tuesday and Thursdays.
3. The Playschool – a fun program for four-year olds which focuses on preparing your child for Kindergarten. This class has a maximum number of 16 children and operates Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.

The programs at Little Friends are of a high caliber and the first choice for many families throughout the Edmonton area. As a result, there is often a greater demand than there are spaces available. This is particularly the case with the registration for the Playroom and playschool (both limited at 16 children), as there are generally more than 16 registrants in the Toddler Room (limited to 9 any given morning). Consequently, not everyone in the Toddler Room is guaranteed a spot in the Playroom as they become of age.
