Welcome to Living Prairie Farms, where our mission is to help you eat well!
Chris and Michelle Birch are excited to be sharing their passion for nutritious and delicious food with you!
We are located in a small farming community near Blackie, Alberta. For the past 18 years we have lived on the land, where we have raised our two children and enjoyed being part of our local community.
Chris has always been passionate about gardening and up until recently it has just been a hobby. Now he is fulfilling his lifelong dream of providing food that will help you EAT WELL!
We are excited to be offering Mixed Salads and Microgreens. Throughout the season you can also find a variety of other vegetables for sale. Our products will be available at the High River Farmer's Market every Thursday from 3: 30-6: 30 PM June 15 to September 28, 2017!
All of our products are grown with the utmost care and love. We grow food how nature intended - naturally and organically! We NEVER use pesticides and all of our products are started from organic, non GMO seeds. We take great pride in growing produce that will help you and your family EAT WELL!
We will also have farm fresh, organic fed, free range eggs available to purchase. Our hens enjoy life to the fullest! They spend their days foraging, scratching, roosting in the trees, and dust bathing! We raise a small flock that provides us with delicious eggs that you are sure to enjoy.
