Today Kris is wearing a grin like the one in this photo because he has passed his 4th and final year of school and is now a Journeyman Electrician. His dad is grinning just as big because his sidekick is coming back to work. I suspect Kris's wife is happy to have him back home, too.
Congratulations, Kris!!!

Hooking up a transfer switch so these folks can provide their own power when the weather causes problems.

Figured this was appropriate for a certain electrician who is sometimes caught talking to himself while working.

Fishing a wire for dryer outlet in a renovated laundry room. I'm glad there was some open ceiling in the cold room!

Installing the ducting for a bathroom fan... If you need a little project like this done, call Bruce and ask for a quote - we have openings in our schedule!

The iPhone-in-the-rice trick worked and 793-1101 is back in business this morning!

Bruce's phone went for a swim this morning. Call Kris at 403-501-7064 if you want to talk to an electrician today or get a message to Bruce.

Motion activated switches are commonly used in closets and pantries, turning the light on when there is activity and automatically shutting it off after a set period of time.
Consider some other useful places in your home. How about your back entry? It's nice to have the lights automatically come on when you walk in with arms loaded with grocery bags. How about a dark stairway or hallway in your home? Or in your bathroom... install a motion activated dimmer, and leave it at ...a low setting for those middle of the night visits. A double tap will bring it to full brightness, and a single tap will turn it off if you don't want to wait until it goes off by itself.
We have many motion switches in our home. So many in fact, that sometimes I (Charmaine) walk into a regularly switched room and wonder why the light isn't coming on! But they aren't good for rooms where your activity doesn't produce much motion. If I haven't moved for a long time while sewing in my laundry room, I'm sometimes plunged into darkness! However, nothing that a wave of my arm won't fix! LOL!

When we first heard about the Alberta Government starting a program to install LED lighting in homes and businesses, we started looking for where we could sign up to be a supplier/installer. Perhaps this NDP program would provide us with some business when things are slow around here? But apparently our government decided that a firm from Ontario was going to do all the work.
So, to all of you who are interested in converting some of your lighting to LED, but do not appreciate Premier Notley's Ontario friends getting all the cash, call Loewen 'Lectric to discuss the many LED lighting options on the market today!
We can't offer to give and install these for free, but we can help you save some money on future utility bills!

Wiring the 400A 3-phase service at Southern Alberta Bible Camp. First on the left is the main 400A disconnect, then we went down and to the right into an emergency generator switch, then up into a 400A panel (which feeds a staff house, the woodshed, the 6 apartment panels, and the "house" panel - seen behind the ladder on the lower right.) There was a lot of equipment on that wall!
