Lola Lash Bar Mckenzie Towne

After a little bit of hesitation reading other reviews I booked an appointment get a set of silk lashes. Leading up to my appointment they send an email confirmation which confirmed the lash technician I would be seeing (Berkley). Upon arrival Berkley was very friendly and offered me a blanket in case I’d be cold. She was great at going through different lash options(length, curl etc). She then gave the option of tap or gel pads. I chose gel pads, size 12 Lashes and c curl and gel pads. She thoroughly cleaned my lashes and began working away l. She was friendly and engaging in conversation. Once she was all done she gave me a mirror to inspect my lashes to make sure I was happy with them. My lashes look fantastic and besides the odd lash that naturally falls out as our regular lashes do they have stayed on great. Very happy with the service quality and durability of the Lashes. I will

The experience was all well and good, and the customer service was great. Sizes were explained and options walked through prior to application. I got these done for my wedding and they began falling off immediately. I had lost half a set in a few days! I went in right before the wedding and they kindly fixed me up, free of charge, but those fell off too! I was careful not to get them wet or oily, no mascara, etc., but they just wouldn't stay put! (My first set a few years ago lasted weeks from a different salon).

My first visit was great and Sara was amazing, she made me comfortable with a blanket, adjusted the leg pillow and chatted to be during the service to tell me what she was doing (it was my first time). I loved it and felt really comfortable with her. She used vaseline before taping my eyes so it wouldn't hurt when she pulled it off.
My experience last night was the opposite. I can't even tell you who did the service because she didn't even introduce herself. I was the only client in the place with 3 workers, and my entire 45 mins not one of them tried to speak to me. They didn't offer me a blanket o cover up (I was in a dress) and did not ensure my comfort at all (I'm pregnant). The girl doing my lashes spoke over me to the others the entire time about everything from their moms to their diets. They complained about their boss, their coworkers and gossiped. She stopped working on me many times for pauses of a couple minutes just to chat to them. More than once she said "I will tell you guys later" - way to make a customer feel AWKWARD!! She didn't use vaseline before taping and it was uncomfortable when she ripped it off. The only time someone was nice to me was when I was paying, suddenly they're your best friend - but I didn't tip - they definitely did not deserve more than the service itself cost.
Upon having my lashes a couple days now, I noticed that they are different than the ones I originally had - I paid for the silk lashes but the ones I got this time are hard and pokey. I am pretty sure they are the cheaper, synthetic version. They hurt my eyes and I've been adjusting them so much to stop them from poking me that almost all have already fallen out. I will never go back to Lola.

I went to Lola recently to get a fill, on lashes I got elsewhere. When the technician was finished and I was offered the mirror to look, I mentioned there were a lot of gaps and natural lashes without the extensions. The tech said "I do what I can in 45 minutes." It's my understanding from their website that I was paying for a full fill, not whatever you can in 45 minutes. If you're not fast enough to do a good job in the allotted time, their appointments should be longer. I'm super disappointment, especially because, as I mentioned to my tech, I was thinking about moving from my current place (a long with about 5 other girl friends) to Lola permanently, but since hearing about my experience none of us will be going to Lola again.

On time, beautiful decor, and perfect lashes. Sara is awesome, I went to get my lashes done for a special occasion but will get them done regularly now.

Let me tell you about my experience at Lola lash bar . I went into them AFTER having my first set of lash extensions somewhere else and needing a fill. I decided to try Lola lash bar only because it was closer to home . I told them that I LOVED my lashes so much I wanted to try more volume but no more length ,did not want to look like Tammy Faye Baker! I paid the extra money to get a volume fill with mink lashes which was quite expensive but worth it to have a good outcome! When the fill was done and I looked in the mirror it didn't look right at all and I mentioned that one side was longer and that they looked odd but I had to leave quickly to pick up my kids from school and could not have a long discussion on why they looked weird. By the time I got home and took a good look at my lashes I had to go back as soon as possible to get them fixed , they were horrible! They " made me an appointment the next day " to get them fixed . I said "I know they won't be what I wanted because we would have to redo them altogether but if they could just fix all the errors then I could live with them until I could get a new set ". Well ....the fill was "fixed". All the clumps of glue, uneven lashes, one eye longer than the other, no lashes in the inside corners, lashes placed too far away from the lid line, etc. But after a week , they started to fall out ( despite ALL the precautions to be gentle ) . Today I am going back to have them removed. One eye is almost bald and the other is still partially full of lashes . I am only going back to try to salvage my own lashes. I always have an awesome experience here. The staff is super friendly, the space is very cute and always clean and they do amazing work. I see Ashely for volume lashes and she is a lash magician. She is quick and very precise. The extensions make my morning routine so much easier (mascara used to always be a battle for me) and they make me look fresh and bright eyed with no effort. I highly highly recommend going to Lola McKenzie. It is worth every single penny.
