WAYNE in the Appliance section completely screwed/played us on the “Pre Black Friday Sale” as we were shopping for a new Samsung fridge and stove. The fridge was on sale for $1498 and the stove was on sale for $898. We were excited to pay only $2400 on November 19th instead of the full price of $3700 but WAYNE scammed us into not purchasing the appliances until the actual “Black Friday Sale” as there will be an additional 10% off everything! He hyped us into believing we could save an additional $250 if we waited until November 24th.

So we wait the five days and show up to Lowe’s to get our appliances only to see that the fridge we wanted spiked up to almost $1700. We walk over to the stove we wanted and there wasn’t even a sale price on it anymore but it did show a price of $1200 in small print. Feeling pretty confused, I go find WAYNE to see what’s up only to find him working up at the front cashier area. When I approached him and asked him what’s going on, he simply replies with “Well thats the risk you take for waiting... But there is still 10% off the new prices”. The nerve this punk had to try and squeeze more money out of us and waste our time was completely unprofessional and by the cherry red cheeks he was wearing by the end of our conversation, I knew that he knew damn well that he got busted.

So we left the store outraged and headed over to The Home Depot near Chinook Centre and found a professional representative named CALEB. We explained our horrible experience to him and he gladly helped us out. He shows us the exact Samsung fridge that Lowe’s had and it had a sale price of $1498. He then showed us the exact Samsung stove and it had a sale price of $849. He then said “Because of your horrible experience at Lowe’s, we will match their 10% off AND I’ll cut the price of delivery out as well as additional movers fees.” We end up buying the same fridge and stove for a total of $2100 and walk away in an incredibly better mood.

If you like customer service and want to be treated with respect while purchasing items for your home, Lowe’s is NOT the place to go. WAYNE needs to be fired for his idiotic attitude toward customers as extra training will most likely be a waste of time. I will forever BOYCOTT LOWE’S and recommend to everyone out there to do the same. The store is a complete joke and you are just a number to the morons they hire.

Do not go here for blinds!!!! I tried to order shutters here and the guy I talked to, twice, was VERY unknowledgeable and did not know the product at all.. including where to find the costs.. after FINALLY agreeing to a cost estimate and drafting up the "recall" as they call it I went home. A few weeks later the install came and did the measurements. He mentioned they may have a problem with "frameless" shutters even my entire house is frameless and was installed by lowes initially (we are currently installing for our basement).
They called me a week later saying there's a problem and they can't install the frameless option even though the guy I talked to said they could or didn't mention they couldn't.. they even had a price for it and options available . They told me I have to pay MORE for a vendor who would supply this.. what a joke!!! maybe get your sales people to know the product that they're selling and what can and CANNOT be done before I pay the $50 measurement fee to get my windows measured.

Some nice products but hard to get help... I gave up waiting at Lowe's and went to home Depot... Even though HD was closing in fifteen minutes two people helped me buy a dishwasher in time... Well five minutes late once out the checkout but home Depot is amazing like that... Unlike Lowe's where I'd waited for 45 minutes then was told he wouldn't have time to help me.

Tried to Rent an Insulation Blower 3 months after buying the insulation, was told needed receipt to prove purchase and treated like low life. Finally after asking to speak to store manager, He told the clerk to do it if I bought some more insulation. Then was given machine with flat tires, asked the guy about filling them, his response "meh". Machine very finicky to feed product, no instructions from staff or on machine on how to load. Staff has no idea how unit works. Figured out on my own, and will not be back to Lowes. Not one of the 5 staff members I dealt with were competent or friendly. Seems workers here do not like the job.

We were in the Lowe’s Shawnessy store looking for all stuff to repaint bedrooms. Matt from the paint department was very pleasant and helped find paint and all other items we were looking for. He is very professional and we got many good advices. Excellent visit.

One of the most frustrating things to deal with as a customer is lack of communication - and these guys are brutal. I made the decision to order a door for a client from Shawnessy Lowe's back in November 2016 - Big Mistake... it has taken 4 order attempts and 2 site visits from Lowes/Jeld-Wen representatives to finally get it right. The quality of the door was brutal, and after the 2nd installation attempt, Jeld-Wen finally upgrades the door unit to a "better quality line" (why are they selling doors that don't open in the first place is beyond me).

Kyle the manager, after SIGNIFICANT frustration from my part, shook my hand, looked me right in the eye and said "I will personally take care of this" for you ... well I didn't hear from him again, and he didn't return my calls.

On 2 occasions during this 6+ month process, the delivery date to the store was missed, of which I followed up with the manufacturer to find out why the units hadn't arrived - they had - in both circumstances, Lowe's just didn't bother to call me to let me know the units had arrived, delaying installation further. Upon the final delivery (the forth attempt for Lowe's to get this right, and after they didn't call me to let me know the unit was in), there was no paperwork to support that the door unit actually belonged to me - according to them, the door wasn't paid for (paid for back in November) and would require the manager to look into what was going on with the situation (THIS is where I finally lost it)

I will NEVER set foot in another Lowe's Store ever again... this was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.

Fantastic experience here. Went shopping after seeing their 10-15% (buy more save more) mis read flyer and wasn't eligible for the discount but they gave us 10% off for the trouble with no hassle.
Skip Home Depot and hit these guys up!

New appliance manager is really attractive. You should go to the store for him alone. He is also a great salesman. Would recommend.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff in all departments. You don't have to wait all day for help like at Home Depot or Rona. Prices are reasonable, however, Canadian Tire is often a few dollars cheeper, if they carry the product. Consider asking for a price match.
