Lucy'S Cleaning Service & Janitorial

I found a coupon for their services on Groupon earlier this year (January) for 4 hours of cleaning (1 person) for $129. Seemed like a good deal so I bought it January 27 and scheduled the cleaning for February 2nd. I immediately got an email saying they received the booking and will confirm the availability shortly along with an email confirming my email address. Then I received another email from a Mary-Ann and she said that they were fully booked on the date and time that I requested but that they were going to work it out so I could have the cleaning service done on the date and time I requested. I had booked them to come at 2:30 pm but they came at around 2 pm and there were two ladies instead of one which was awesome in my opinion. The earlier they can get it finished the better for so I can do other stuff. They did a pretty good job cleaning and dusting everything from washrooms (including showers), floors (laminate, tiles and carpet), all tables and other surfaces. They didn't get a chance to clean my kitchen floors and downstairs living room but it was because they ran out of time. My favourite part was one of the ladies was using a vacuum cleaner that she was wearing like a backpack or like a jet pack! If I see that deal again I will definitely buy it again and I will be using Lucy's Cleaning Service again (actually just booked another service today (Nov. 22).

Mediocre. My bad experience started before I had my home cleaned by them. I scheduled a cleaning four days in advance, scheduled for 2PM.

The night before my scheduled cleaning service, I received a confirmation e-mail stating 1:30PM. I phoned the following morning to confirm the time, and got a phone call back at 11AM stating they were outside my home already, as they had a conflict in scheduling. I asked if they could come back at the scheduled time of 2PM, there was a pause over the phone and I got a very snarky "That's fine."
Fifteen minutes later I get another call back asking if they could just come another day at 9AM. Given the fact that I have a very busy schedule, I asked if they could be there a little earlier. They offered 8:30AM, and I accepted. They showed up at 9 anyways. In the days leading up to my cleaning, I got a few confirmation e-mails from the company addressed to me with three different spelling errors in my name on three separate occasions. It didn't settle well with me, especially considering I set up a profile with them online. I got a sense that they didn't pay attention to detail, something I would expect when hiring a cleaning company.
The cleaning was alright. They definitely missed some obvious spots, like the whole main hallway. The areas they did clean, they did a pretty good job and, I have to admit my walls look pretty good. Will I hire them again? Probably not. I prefer a little more professionalism and respect for other people's time.
