Lupus Research Update!
"The Lupus Research Alliance has awarded grants of up to $600,000 each to seven scientists from across the U.S. to promote the development of innovative therapies for lupus, the organization announced."

The Canada Food Guide's recent update includes some pretty significant changes: it no longer includes how many servings of different foods to include daily, but urges people to eat more of some things and less of others.
One of the questions that we get asked the most often is what the best diet is for people with lupus, but we encourage you to remember that every body is different and food that works for one person may not work for another. Check out the updated food guide in the link below, and if you have any questions about your diet consider bringing them to your next doctor's appointment or consulting with a registered nutritionist.

"It’s difficult to play when we feel sick. Our bodies hurt; our brains are filled with anxiety and worry; and there doesn’t seem to be much to celebrate. This is exactly when we need play the most. Quiet play that doesn’t require too much energy works well. Listening to music, reading a book, or doing a crossword puzzle are my standard go-tos."
