Macdonald Island Dance Academy Description
MacDonald Island Dance Academy focuses on developing young, passionate dancers while striving to be the heart of the dance community in our region. We are committed to providing the highest quality instruction in a fun environment that welcomes dancers of all skill levels. MacDonald Island Dance Academy will focus on Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern and Ballet and will also be offering Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams, vocational ballet training and Pointe training. We are also introducing new this year, our 5-level Primary Dance program for ages 30 months and up.

We are nearing the end of our summer camp season, and We have 4 summer dance camps left, so now is the perfect time to get your dance training into gear before the regular season starts! or even try out a style and get a head start on some of the dance vocabulary & movements!
1. Mini Dancer Bootcamp When: Aug 20-24... Ages: 5-7 Time: 10am-12:30pm Where: Fitness/Christina Studio Barcode: 301975 Price: Member $130 Non-member $145
This intensive camp is designed for young dancers wanting to grow their technique, musicality and performance skills. Classes will focus mainly on jazz & lyrical technique, and experience styles like tap, hip hop & musical theatre.
2. Across the Floor Technique (Session 2) When: Aug 20-24 Where: Fitness/Christina Studio Price: Member $95 Non-member: $105 Group 1: Ages 11-18 1:30pm-3pm Barcode: 301968

Keep your technique in check with this Across the Floor Technique class! Dancers will be working on various kicks, jumps, turns and floor work in progressions across the floor. The perfect program for your dancer to improve and train over the summer. Combinations across the floor will be at an advanced level and taught at a high pace.

A high energy class that lets your feet feel the beat! This class will focus on rhythm and coordination, tap combinations & across the floor tap drills.

The Dance Intensive Camp is designed to offer students with experience the opportunity to pursue their dance education and training in the summer. Students will receive a daily ballet technique class along with additional classes in Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acro and Tap. The emphasis on this camp is learning and developing skills both artistically and technically. We also love to do various fun activites like swimming, tie dye or rock climbing etc!
