On Friday, January 25 the Office of Sexual Violence, Education and Response will be hosting their second annual ESV Student Research Forum, which showcases student scholarship relating to the topic of sexual violence.
This year they have seven wonderful papers that discuss diverse topics, including domestic violence and major league baseball, sexual assault law in Canada, and the ways that sex offenders are represented in social media. One student will be awarded the Ending Sexual Violence Student Research Award in the amount of $1000 for their work.
All are welcome to attend this event, and we encourage residents to stop by if you have the opportunity!

Are you prepared for a winter evacuation? Here are a few things you can do to be prepared:
- Familiarize yourself with the location of your nearest exit, as well as an alternate exit.
- Familiarize yourself with the location of the muster points. Tip: Remember to look to your residence floor wardens for direction, which may include instructions to muster in a building that has been opened, such as Allard Hall.
... -Have a warm jacket and outdoor footwear handy so that you can quickly put them on as you exit your room.
