This is my preferred registry. Excellent staff who help you get the job done with as minimal red tape as possible.
Transferred travel trailer registration and picked up an inspection form for another vehicle one day, quick and easy, in and out in 10 minutes. Registered the new vehicle a few days later, 20 minutes and I was out. The staff was very friendly, knowledgable and efficient.
In and out in 5 minutes for a car registration renewal. Didn't even need to take number. Go just after lunch to get very fast service. I went at 1:30pm on a weekday. Bring cash to avoid transaction fees.
Before going down to the registry, I called to find out what I'd need to trade my BC driver's license in for an Alberta one. They answered the phone on the second ring and gave me clear info about what to bring - so when I got there, there were no surprises.
At the registry, the wait was short because they were well staffed (about 6 people on, none of them mulling about or looking disinterested). The woman who helped me was pleasant and speedy. I was in and out in about 15 minutes, which included get my AB health care card sorted in addition to my driver's license. A very good experience overall.
Waited for 45 minutes on Saturday to register my vehicle and renew my license. System was down so I was told to come back on Monday to fix it. Came back and I was told to take a number and wait again? Are you serious? What kind of customer service is that to ask people to wait double the amount of time because YOU had a problem with your system. Next time I'll just go down the street to the competition.
My experience...
Terrible to say the least.
I went for two very simple things.
To get my ID replaced and turned into a learners license as I don't drive.
As well as to get my healthcare card replaced.
They lost the paperwork for my learners, so I had to go back and give them all my documentation again.
I never received my healthcare card, after talking to ahic they informed me it hadn't been applied for since 2009.
So I paid them for a service they didn't do.
Then when I get my learners license in the mail it's already expired.
They claimed at first it was a lady in training.
Then proceeded to tell me that I had made the mistake.
Their computer is dirty and sticky,
They couldn't figure out how to use the eye testing machine for over 10 minutes.
And they made a mistake on every single thing I had asked to get done there.
I wish I could give them 0 stars.
No complaints. Was in and out in a decent time.
Best registry in Calgary!!! Very helpful and nice people unlike richmond registry..
I passed my road test today with the examiner named Mohammad. He is a really fair and kind guy! Thank you Mohammad! Service was fast as well.
