Maggie's Hill Heritage Loghouse is a vacation rental located in Strathcona County, east of Edmonton. It is a heritage site representing the early Metis history of Strathcona County. The original loghome has had modern additions that maintain the original character of the loghouse while providing modern amenities including a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. Located on 156 areas, the property is a protected wildlife preserve with 70 acres dedicated to a Ducks Unlimited Conservation area. Kilometres of recreational trails travel through forests and meadows with native grasses. An abundance of wild rose bushes intermittent with ponds of nesting waterfowls are a few of the delights offered to visitors. On the shores of Hastings Lake, the property offers waterfront access for canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts.

What a totally charming little treasure! I stayed at at Maggie's Hill Heritage Loghouse this weekend with a few girlfriends to have a little downtime. It was the perfect place to unwind, disconnect, and enjoy everything about what down time truly means. The house is adorable, very comfortable, and blew us all way with their attention to detail. I really loved the bottle of wine, fresh homemade bread and farm fresh eggs that we had waiting for us on arrival. I can't wait to go back.
This place is an absolute gem. Less than an hour from my doorstep and I'm a world away. Can't wait to return in warmer climes and read a book in those screened porches.
