They offer many dishes, prepared Gluten Free. As a person who can only eat Gluten Free foods, I am so happy I found this wonderful little restaurant. The service is friendly and fast too.

This is one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Calgary. The food is excellent and the gentleman that owns/operates the place is lovely. Our favourite dish is the Salt & Pepper Squid, it has a nice light batter with a bit of heat. In fact, all of the dishes that we've tried here over the years are exceptional, great flavours and little or no MSG... I can tell because I don't get all bloaty or puffy from this like I do from the other cheap western style chinese food. The Magic Bowl Chinese Food has a great Dim Sum menu and everything is made fresh, you can tell. Next time we will try one of his hot pots, they look fantastic.
All in all this is one of our favourite date night spots, even though the decor is a little tired, the food more than makes up for it.

This is my household's go-to Chinese takeaway, initially out of convenience but now out of satisfaction. Ginger beef, lemon chicken and sweet n sour pork are my family's staples; mine is the salt n pepper squid. Support family emterprise n check it out sometime...

Great dim sum. It's well made and full of flavor. It's small but we always get a seat when we come. Worth the drive.

A nice cozy place serving good quality dim sum. They don't open until 11 though, and somehow they were already full when we arrived at 11:03... it's nice to have a good dim sum option in the south so you don't have to go downtown

I would give the food 4 stars, but because of overall experience, Magic Bowl gets 5 stars. Everything we order is always tasty, but admittedly probably not the best I have had in the city. Our take away orders are always ready when they say, and the service is amazing. I don't agree with the reviews which say small portions--portions are definitely average. The dim sum is quite good, especially the steamed bbq pork buns. The restaurant is usually very busy during lunch time, and they are always working on multiple orders if we order in the evening. A definite hidden gem in the SE.
