About Market Collective
Market Collective is an independent market, created to showcase the works of local artists, artisans and musicians and to strengthen the community in Calgary.
We believe in supporting creativity in the city of Calgary in every way that we can. This includes opening up space for musicians to perform, artists to sell their work, non-profit organizations to show their projects, and the community to express themselves through interactive displays and collaborative pieces.
For each MC, we create an artist sponsorship in which we take submissions. This is to further our mission of giving back to the community.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our inaugural Food Realm event in Kensington outside of Blank Page Studio last Thursday. This free event is running every Thursday in August from 5pm - 9pm and we'd love to see you!

Market Collective is excited to launch The Food Realm - an evening of enjoying food trucks, music, and a glimpse into the inner workings of Blank Page Studio.
Happening every Thursday in August, the events will be held just outside the studio and will be all-ages and dog-friendly, and will feature 6 food trucks each week.

We recently had the delight of visiting the new Pranic Forest Artisan Apothecary location just down the street from our Kensington office. It was a sunny Friday morning and stepping into the little shop, we were instantly greeted by the sounds of soothing wind chimes and a subtle scent of the lavender bunches sitting in the corner. Here was the world that master herbalist, aromatherapist, intuitive energy channeler, cosmetologist, and artist Amanda Spicer had crafted - full o...f ethereal illustrations, beautiful dried plants, and bottles upon bottles of heavenly scents. We sat down with Amanda to talk more about her Pranic Forest journey from its early inception to present day with her very own brick and mortar store.

Today the Market Collective bids farewell to Angela Dione as she embarks on a new life journey. For the past 10 years, Angela's heart and mind have been a driving force behind the Market Collective, and her ambition has helped to carry Market Collective to where it is today. We will miss her humor, her love, and her ambition.

Electrodeo is the only electronic music festival taking place all 11 days of Stampede from July 5th to 15th and they are looking for vendors!
Located at The Still, which is downtown in the heart of the action, right beside the Stampede Grounds, there will be a 100 person capacity Big Rock Sponsored Patio with full view of fireworks, 54 live DJ performances, dancers, and more.

Collective Goods is an organization that aims to collaborate with underprivileged women around the globe. By partaking in a worldwide fair trade marketplace, they help women become financially empowered to rise up from oppression, as well as generate a wave of sustainable and conscious consumerism here in North America.
Their first collaboration is with a charity from Ethiopia called Ellilta Products. This organization aims to rehabilitate and restore women from a life of pro...stitution. These women are given skills training (in this case, creating artisan products such as scarves and jewelry) in order to be financially empowered and ultimately free from a life of oppression.
On June 16, Collective Goods will be officially launching their website and revealing their first line of scarves and jewelry, custom designed by Collective Goods and made by the women of Ellilta Products.
