Masjid Quba was established in 1989 to cater the needs of the growing Muslim community of central Edmonton. Initial facilities consisted of a leased coat factory converted to a mosque where a handful of Muslims offered salaat and partook in Dawah activities. By the grace of ALLAH almighty, from these humble beginnings, the congregation has grown and we now have approximately 400 people offering Jumma Salaat.
In addition, there are evening classes for children where they receive religious education. To serve the needs of young Muslims we also offer Hifz programs. We have two full time Ulema conducting various activities for adults e. g. , Tafsir, Hadith, Tajweed & Ta’leem. Daily educational circle are held for adults with weekly programs for ladies. Other effort to instill the qulaties of Imam & Salat in masses takeplace on daily basis.
Since inception, Quba masjid has served an ethnically diverse population including Muslims of Middle Eastern, African, Asian and European origin

We are terribly sorry to hear about the passing of Br. Farukh Haque. While we know that all people are given to us by Allah for but a limited time, it is still difficult to accept the death of a loved one.
... While we loved Br. Farukh Haque dearly, whatever Allah takes away or gives belongs to Him. Everything has a fixed term in this world, so we must be patient and content. We hope that you can find solace in the truth of faith in this difficult time.
O Allaah, Br. Farukh Haque is under Your care and protection so protect him from the trial of the grave and torment of the Fire. Indeed You are faithful and truthful. Forgive and have mercy upon him, surely You are The Oft-Forgiving, The Most-Merciful.

Sheikh Hussain was taken into surgery today at 4:45 PM after being in ICU for the last 20 days. Please make Dua for his speedy recovery and for all Muslim brothers and sisters who are not well.
"Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our protector": and on Allah let the Believers put their trust." (Surah At-Tawba, 51)
Surgery was very complicated and difficult they couldn't do both lungs only right side. Please make Dua for full recovery.
InshaAllah Sheikh Hussain (Safdar Bahi) will be going in for double Lung Transplant. Surgery is scheduled to start at 2 AM. Please make Dua-e-Shifa for him and all Muslim brothers and sister who are not well.
Last night Sheikh Hussain (Safdar Bahi) transplant surgery was cancelled due to unavailability of donor lung. He is at home. Allah knows what is the best for you and when it's best for you to have it. Make Dua for all the Muslim brothers and sisters who are not well.
