it feels like home, my nephew had a wonderful birthday celebration here last saturday. Thanks to Sherwin for your beautiful decoration and awesome service that you give to your clients. All worth it to celebrate special events with Max's.

We are so delighted and grateful of Max’s restaurant Calgary branch for the “extra miles” service and assistance they have provided to fulfill my dream of an “exclusive and elegant” dedication (baptism) ceremony for my son.



It was a great idea and sales strategy that this restaurant has pioneered the banquet party for the Filipino market. Very first to cater a party package with elegance and class... It is very wise because Filipino culture is always about getting together, celebrating important milestones and building happy memories, Max’s brings us memories of taste and feel back home... And most of all, very brilliant decision to put “SHERWIN” as your banquet coordinator and M’Juliet leading the team... They are so pleasant, accomodating and welcoming.



I just held my dream event/party here two days ago for my son’s dedication. Sherwin is the most patient coordinator I have dealt with, despite my enormous requests and wishes, if he can, he is favoring me... He even gave me his personal email address and cellphone number so I can reach him with all my inquiries... When I have an idea I want to include in my party or when I just needed to ask a question, he is answering my calls, emails and text messages even i sent them 1am midnight before i go to bed!!! (wow!)... I am in the food service industry for 21 years now and being a Jollibee Restaurant Manager back in the Philippines where quality of Food, Service and Cleanliness is a must, as for me, Sherwin is a great asset to your business.



This restaurant truly cares and serve with heart. They own the party like it’s theirs, they (specifically Sherwin) decor my venue with dedication and detailed craftsmanship/artistry. They serve enormous amount of food for the headcount i declared! my guests were so happy to take home extra food left to enjoy at their own homes, not to mention that all entrees served were at best quality and taste (at very reasonable and decent price�). We had lumpiang ubod, miki bihon, Max’s chicken, lechon kawali, kare kare, sweet and sour fish fillet and the best caldereta in town! buko pandan and leche flan for dessert completes the buffet style banquet... I love their huge TV for my AVP, their chordless microphones, soundsystem, i even love the music background prepared by Sherwin to feel the solemn ambiance of the place, the top of the line linen table cloths and letter cut-outs, etc etc etc! In short, I love every single detail they made on my party! I cannot thank them enough for fulfilling my dream elegant, class and soulful event. I never imagined this is possible here in Canada, i thought that a party like this can only be executed in 5-star hotels in the Philippines where resources are plenty. And because of Sherwin’s mastered creativity and resourcefulness, patience and positive attitude, i will have my second event in a month on May for my daughter’s 7th bday. I cannot entrust another memorable event in my family’s life to anyone than the tested service of this restaurant.. Kudos team Max’s Calgary! more power and God bless u more!

This restaurant serves legit and authentic Filipino cuisines. Food is delicious and it really brings the taste of home. Service is very good. Very hospitable staff. Reason why this is our restaurant destination every weekend. I had my kid’s Dedication on April 7, 2018 and I must say I was very impressed. From the decor to the hospitality and reception of the staff. Special mention to Sherwin and mam Juliet for their tireless support on our event. Sherwin was very accomodating, professional and very courteous. The two of them assured us that the event will go as how my wife planned and envisioned it. And lastly to the kitchen staff, the food was superbly delicious. Our guests had a wonderful dining experience. Surely, I will have more events here for my kids.

Regular customer here. We just thought of trying to have our event pulled off here as they offer such service. We had our gender reveal party at Max’s Calgary on the “May 4th be with you” catering about 46 people. Everything went well as planned. Planning with Sherwin (event manager) was simple and straight forward. We just has one meeting in person and a telephone conversation. Communication went well. Menu packages were not complex, convenient to choose for picky people like us. Decoration was included in the package and didn’t have to pay extra. Their team’s hardwork is well appreciated in running the event even though it was a peak time for them on a Friday evening. Their staff had the time to come over to the function room to congratulate us and our families, very thoughtful on their part. Having a discount for a weekday event and receiving complimentary gift cards made it worthwhile. It was a nice experience. I would highly recommend Max’s for your small and intimate events.

My daughter celebrated her first birthday with almost 60 people and they were all truly accomodated by the staff specially Sherwin. He also did an awesome job doing the Minnie

May 18, 2018 We celebrated my Mom's 55th birthday and it turned out to be a fabulous birthday celebration in this restaurant with the help of Sherwin (coordinator) . The banquet was really awesome! The food presentation, decoration of the function hall and everything was beautiful. Held a birthday party for my daughter around 100 people plus kids and we are accommodated well plus they did an awesome job on decorating the place and hosting. Food are great depending on your choice of food. With unbelievable deal for only $28 per head and it’s a buffet! And free use of their function hall. They have well adjusted with the taste of their foods and amount of food was enormous that you will bring home a lot after the party. Lol great job in assisting the party in general.

My husband and I were definitely surprised to see a fully decorated room- not to mention it was specifically personalized to our event. This not only made things easier for us but it really tied the whole look of the venue together. The service we received upon booking with Ate Juliet was respectful and very professional. Although we were subject to a minor scheduling issue, she followed through and made everything work out in the end. We definitely have to give a special shoutout to Sherwin. On the day of the event, Sherwin was a one man show. He provided us with exceptional service and the size of our party did not seem to affect his ability to perform. He kept up with our guests’ requests and made sure we were all looked after. We later found out Sherwin was the one responsible for the amazing decor and it’s clear how much passion and talent he has. We’ve attended several events since and are so impressed that we are booked for our next party there. We are definitely excited for the day knowing that we are in good hands.

That chicken is oh so good, including the shanghai spring rolls. My only critique is that that sinigang should be more sour, it was kind of bland when we had it and lacking in the actual flavour a sinigang should have.

Around the end of June we were having difficulties on finding where to celebrate my sister’s 7th birthday, but luckily Max’s is here. We were accommodated by Sherwin, the event coordinator, in planning everything, we just met once, talk for like 35 minutes or less and he got everything precisely. We got the $28 per person buffet plus $250 for the decors. (My sister had a Snow White theme)

Few days before my sister’s birthday, my mom asked him how is the decors and everything is doing and just to get , and he simply answered “Don’t worry anak. You’re in good hand. �” So we didn’t worry anymore.

At the day of the party, we were so impressed, the decorations are perfect. My parents really liked it. And the foods? THE BEST. Still the Max’s Restaurant we all miss in the Philippines. The experience here was great! I would definitely recommend this to my friends and to others (Filipino or not) who needs a nice place, good food and excellent customer service for their event. �
