Hey parents! I just posted a short interview with my friend Dan about what to do when you feel guilty as a parent. If you haven’t joined the page yet, search MTC Parents on Facebook. Bringing parents together is huge because we learn and grow and help each other - because we’re #bettertogether

We had an incredible weekend at the Fall Youth Retreat. Highlighted by 5 students making the decision to be baptized. To cap it off, they did it in the river while it was below freezing. Thank you for those who were able to come out. Thank you for those who were praying for us. Thank you for cheering our teenagers on.

It’ll be a bit cold, but we are still hosting baptisms tomorrow at the youth retreat. Come on out and support our teenagers.

This year, we’ve seen 30 baptisms at McKenzie Towne Church. We are so excited for what God is doing in the lives of our people. We’ve seen continued growth in our teenagers, as they respond to Jesus’ command to be baptized.
... We want to try hosting baptisms for teens at the retreat. There is often a hesitation around hosting baptisms off-site, but we saw incredible momentum at our church bbq, and we want to see it continue.
We want to try hosting baptisms at the Fall Retreat this year. Retreats are significant weekends for teenagers, where we’ve seen their relationship with God grow exponentially. We don’t want to go off on our own and do youth baptisms, we want to do it differently. We want families to come and support their kids. We also want to invite anyone from McKenzie Towne Church to come and be part of what God is doing in the lives of our students.
Many times with younger generations, we invite them to come to us and be part of what we’re already doing. This gives us an incredible opportunity to reverse that. By making the drive out to Camp Harmattan, you let students know that they matter.
Come out to Camp Harmattan, Saturday September 22 at 4:00pm. Come celebrate baptisms, eat with us, and spend time reminding our teenagers how much they matter to us.

If you are exploring faith, are new to faith or reconnecting with your faith a Starting Point Group is a great place to begin. Starting Point is an 8 week gathering where we meet for a meal and then spend time exploring the tricky questions of faith. This is a safe environment where your questions and doubts are welcome.
The next Starting Point Group begins on Sunday evening Sept 30th, 2018.

We have lot's of awesome opportunities for you to get involved this Fall. Be Praying! Be asking God what your next step looks like. Don't stay in the same place, move forwards. See what God does!

Love my church family. I have been so supported through the tough times.

User

First service there was this Sunday, couldn't have gotten a better message and the band was awesome!

User

Bible-based with strong outreach motivation,

worshipful, multigenerational,

blending contemporary/rock with hymns,

open to non-traditional expression of worship, like raising hands, worship art or prayer meetings with stations.

Friendly pastoral staff, great preaching and guest speakers, welcoming atmosphere.

Same as every church, despite coffee between services, we had some difficulty connecting with others in the congregation, but after a year we are starting to make acquaintances and friends. Connecting group helps.

May mtc be blessed to overflowing!
