Medalta In The Historic Clay District

A former industrial ceramics manufacturing complex located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, located on a spur line of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the heart of a historic industrial district that was an important centre for the clay products industry in Western Canada. We are now home to a large collection of artifacts, educational programming including our curriculum-based Community Classrooms, adult clay workshops, many large-scale community events, and the Medalta International Artists in Residence Program at the Shaw Centre for Contemporary Ceramics.
