About Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede

Our Annual Stampede for 2020 would have been July 22-25! We can't stampede like last year but stay tuned for other activities that we are doing. A volunteer not-for profit organization that hosts a number of agricultural events throughout the year.

We had our wedding reception at the Grandstand Banquet Room in September 2014. All of the staff from the Stampede Grounds and Shooting Star Events were so wonderful. So courteous, professional, and took care of anything we needed. They made our wedding reception so easy and stress free. Thank you so much for helping to make our day so special! :)

The Medicine Hat stampede is always the best !!

Sometimes the MH Stampede is a touch too warm to get maximum enjoyment. I appreciate the effort this year to lower the temperature and even introduce a slight breeze. However one quibble...I think organizers this year went a touch too far in the other direction... at times the cool breeze was something like a winter storm front .

If there is a better outdoor show in southern Alberta than our rodeo and night shows I haven't heard of it. The 127 year history of volunteers making a summer party that celebrates our unique heritage and entertains young and old alike is a wonderful legacy to enjoy each year.

Keep the concept of the light breeze for next year, but not quite as cold. We will be back taking in a party that was MUCH better than any party I volunteered to make happen in our city.

So many incredible changes this year and an amazing lineup of great entertainment!!! Looking forward to the stampede this year!

User

My family looks forward to the stampede every year . The rodeo is our biggest interest but we love the parade and the midway also . I hope it keeps growing through the years to come .

User

Love the Farmers Market! Great family event, amazing vendors and always a fun event :)

User

Love all the different things I've done here, from the stampede, to Josh Turner always really well organized and plenty of parking. Inside can be a bit pricey for food ect. But I've enjoyed the events I've attended there.

User

I've been going every year since I was wee little and I'm almost 40 now. Always a great time! Thanks for putting on such a fantastic event!!

User

Excellent & so was the evening gig- The Guess Who & Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.

Congratulations MHE&S the Methanex Kiddies Day was great! My grandchildren loved this event. We miss the kiddies parade so this makes up for it. Keep doing it we will be back next year! Thank you....

User

Always love doing things here as it is a great time!!!

User

Lots of fun. small simple less wait for rides.

User

It seemed to be a better organized this year and had a good flow to everything.

I am a first-time visitor from South Africa and really enjoyed it. I loved watching the Rodeo and Ranch Horse competition (and the Chuckwagon races as an introduction to the stampede). There was an abundance of really tasty, affordable food and I loved the free live music concerts. Keep it up Medicine Hat, you did good!

In a way it reminded me of my childhood when we would make a huge once-a-year outing from the farm to what we called a 'Show' in the nearest town. It consisted of cattle exhibitions with prizes for 'grand champion' bulls, cows, sheep, horses. The men played polo, there were horse races, stock car races, live music and all.

User

Sales booths aren't as good as usual and can't get a wristband until after 3

User

I was just passing through. Looking for a pot of gold, things have changed and things have gone.

User

Disappointed in the parade by Tim hot tens and employment office instead of using the three lane road they chose to use the side with one lane I've sat at this stop for over 36 years horses were crowed. Had to move crowd because of large float shrines couldn't drive there cars like usual in front of seniors was not safe. Would love to send the pic
