Just finished playing for this amazing show. If you missed it this year, hopefully you’ll put it in your calendar for next! We had some of the top talent in the city on stage, behind the scenes, and in the pit! The Calgary Herald gave a rave review and it was loved by all who attended. Not to mention, funds went to a great cause and supported the Ellie Tims Project.

Sometimes with the groups I play for, I get to sing during massed choir performances when they’re on stage also! This is two summers ago in Ottawa with the Unisong choir on Parliament Hill!

Today’s throwback is from rehearsals for Storybook Theatre’s A New Brain! That was a fun show with amazing talent on stage!

And sometimes, I get blessed with the opportunity to play on a beautiful instrument such as this gorgeous piano! This lovely Steinway was at a senior’s residence during the Christmas season with Mount Royal University’s Aria and Arioso choirs.

Sometimes the equipment I have to fight with and make work for our performances isn’t ideal... here’s a 61 key, non-weighted keyboard that didn’t have a music stand or a pedal. I had to use the director’s stand and rearrange my music to make it fit on the tiny keyboard on the fly! AHHHHHHH!!! Not ideal, but the folks listening at the venue LOVED our group from Mount Royal University’s Arioso choir!

I’ll be involved with Storybook Theatre’s next TOP SECRET musical. You’ll just have to stay tuned until March for what it’s all about....

Today's throwback is from StoryBook Theatre’s student production of RENT. There was some pretty cool lighting in the musicians' pit and the lights lit up my Cherry Coke like it was sent from the gods.... and rightfully so!!!
