Awesome photo from one of our guests of their experience here at Melissa's!
We had a work event in Banff and had a big dinner here Thursday night. It was GREAT. They have their 19.78 deal where almost everything was $19.78 and it was amazing. 2 lobster tails? $19.78. 12oz Ribeye steak? $19.78. Includes bread, a salad and a side! We had went to Saltlik the night before and the steaks were pretty pricey and for a la carte, I was much more impressed with Melissa's. We reserved for 40 but about only 30 people showed but they were swamped as it was and did their best to swiftly serve our big group. Our waitress was amazing, I didn't get her name but she was great. She answered all of our questions and took the time to speak to us about what we wanted to order. There was another waitress who fed us a bit of wrong information about the deal, but she had never worked a special before. The only bad part is that same table she was serving unfortunately did not have a good experience. They ordered first and got their food last, when most of us were pretty much done. Overall though, I had a great experience and will definitely return whenever I go to Banff next! Thank you!
This place was amazing. The food was wonderful and the service was spot on. I will 1000% be back if I’m in the area!
The wait staff was very sweet and knowledgeable about banff and surrounding areas. I had the eggs benny, orange juice and coffee. They even made us to-go coffee! We will definitely we back! Thank you for such a great experience 😁If you get a chance while visiting banff, check this place out, you won't be dissapointed!
Melissa's is wonderful! We had breakfast there almost every morning for a week and were always treated to a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and the prices are low; Melissa's is the best food deal in Banff. I recommend you try EVERY version of their Eggs Benedict that you can--they're all wonderful! We will unquestionably return whenever we again visit Banff.
I used to go to Melissa's often when I lived in Banff, years ago. It hasn't changed! The breakfast is still amazing, the staff is still so accommodating and the atmosphere is still fabulous. Thank you for accommodating our huge group so quickly and efficiently. Loved it!
I highly recommend eating here. We had the best experience and will definitely be back. Service was great, food was outstanding and it was priced very reasonably. New Banff Favourite!
Head up to the bar for a midweek steak sandwich special. 6oz Sirloin for under 10 bucks. Bosh!!!
Great place for breakfast lunch and dinner ! The whole place has exceptional staff!👍❤️
From the time we walked in to the time we left, there was nothing but GREAT vibes. We were seated in the restaurant and our server Robert came by with menus. He walked us through the steak cart and some of the better cuts and recommendations of steak. We settled on a 2 different cuts. The meal came with a salad at The beginning with 2 homemade dressings on the side. We tried both. Hard to decide which was better. Our meals arrived. My rib eye came out perfect. My gf filet was incredibly tender. The veggie sides came out just amazing.
When in Banff this is the spot you want to try.... it will not disappoint.
Doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch or supper their menu is full of amazing choices. Amazing food and usually very helpful, awesome staff
Best value all weekend. Lobster was perfect as were the NY and Prime Rib. The prices were also dead on. Don't bother with a chain loke the Keg when Melissa's is right there! Our waiter was very well versed in all things steak!
Always a must stop as we pass through town. Never had a bad meal or drink!
All round amazing meal. Waiter was attentive and a great bloke to go along with it. The food (rib eye and filet mignon) was cooked perfectly and were on special saving more than half the price (special was running at least from Dec 8 til Dec 15). Great vibe, great food, great service.
We celebrated our 1st anniversary on Jan 5th 2018 and had our dinner at Melissa’s Missteak. We both had Rib Eye Steak which was delicious. The only thing we didn’t like was the garlic butter that came with the bread. Other than that we had very good service and would recommend this restaurant. Joanne & Denis Pilon from Sudbury, Ontario
Loved the giant log cabin atmosphere, good spot for people watching.
I enjoyed my Harvest Eggs Benedict - asparagus, tomatoes eggs and hollandaise over English muffin, with shredded hash browns ($15) and coffee ($4). Service was quick and friendly and staff were eager to provide tourist info and suggestions.
Great breakfast after an amazing, but very quick trip, to Banff. Hit Melissa's on our way out of town, there was a bit of a wait, but once we were seated, our waiter was quick, and we had a great breakfast.
Always go here everytime we go to Banff well worthe it awsome place
My fiancé and I spent thanksgiving in Banff. Had a wonderful time. We asked many locals what they’re recommend for a fair priced, decent place, to go for dinner. The majority recommended this place.
So we went. We paid 26.50 each, for a plate of turkey dinner.
Which consisted of 2 tiny, dry pieces, of turkey. A huge mound of dressing, a dab of greens, and were charged extra for gravy.
No bun, bread, was provided.
We’ll be back in Banff next thanksgiving. But it won’t be here. !!!
I get that dressing is a great filler, but to scam customers out of an edible meal, at 26.50 per plate, is ridiculous.
I worked here, mf's cooled off chicken wings in dirty bus bins outside of the cooler at room temp for upwards of 6 hours with old dirty insulation strewn about, literally on top of the "cooling proteins". I wouldn't be putting this on blast if they hadn't false advertised "home cooked fries" that come out of bags off the truck and promised us a raise that wasn't granted on top of awful working conditions. Literally stopped eating my free staff meals due to feeling like shit constantly.
Beware, place is G-R-I-M-Y
