Words cannot begin to describe how awesome this shop here. By far best prices I've seen between a lot of card shops. I remember going to the old shop before the relocation and meeting the owner Pascal; when the store relocated I went during the first week and to my surprise he remembered me by name and when I came in all those weeks back. The customer service is by far the best with no near competition. You can tell just by talking to them that they are passionate about what they do; no money grubbing antics here. Highly recommend this place, I stopped going to Eastridge and Myth all together because of this place.

Without a doubt the best place in the city to go for trading card related things. Pascal (spelling?)delivers phenomenal service every single time. The others that work there are great, too. Their selection is huge and the prices are fair. Would rate this higher if I could.

This was our first visit to any sort of store like this so my review may be a bit biased. This was awesome; the food was amazing, the Employee was helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, cool, clean and organized (I loved how uncluttered it was.) The place was very inexpensive, and the games were the best priced we've found! We will definitely be going back. Thanks, guys!

This is my favorite place to play Magic the Gathering. Interior is bright and open, the tables and chairs are comfortable, and you can get food and drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The staff here are always helpful and informed. There is an AMAZING selection of games, both for purchasing and for trying out. The kids have absolutely LOVED the Day Camps, there are great people there for tournaments, it's just an amazing place to hang out.

One of the most passionate and friendly business owners I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Pascal truly cares about his players and he has won me over with Metal Galaxy as my home shop (even though I live in the North East) The player base for MTG is fantastic and very friendly to new players and I recommend Metal Galaxy to everyone!

My friend and I where visiting Calgary from Ontario and were staying 5 minutes from this wonderful Game and Bistro. Metal Galaxy was like no other game store near me in Ontario and couldn't recommend it enough to any one looking for a cool place to chill out and play games. Added bonus the owner was very friendly.

It's about time I've written a review for Metal Galaxy! Metal Galaxy is by far, my utmost favourite place for all of my gaming needs in all of Calgary. The store has an amazing and friendly atmosphere, it caters to a wide variety of card games, and stocks plenty of other great games as well. You'll never find better deals on anything and all things related to Magic: The Gathering. Plus, Pascal is an amazing owner, he is super friendly, and has great taste in music! I'd give more stars if it was possible.

I hosted a play test of my board game at metal galaxy and I have to say I'm really impressed with them. In comparison to other cafes in town the lack of a seating fee and the reasonably priced food will definitely have me coming back. While I was focused on my own game I did hear an employee helping a couple pick out games. He clearly knew his stuff and was very helpful. 5/5 will be visiting again.

I had my 40th Birthday Party at Metal Galaxy. I found that the owners were very helpful and invested in making it a great event. They allowed an outside cake to be brought in. We had people of all ages some who wanted alcohol and some that did not. Everybody felt welcome and had a great time. The food that I ordered (a variety of flatbreads) was a real pleasant surprise, as they were all delicious and well workth the price. The place itself was clean, tidy and the air conditioning made my late July Birthday very comfortable. There was a great selection of games of all types, for all ages and interests. They had attentive and supportive staff that were able to help my guests pick and play games. Place was great. Game selection was awesome. Staff were all very attentive and helpful (and personable). 100% Success!

The atmosphere is incredable, I felt welcomed and comfortable from my first moments inside. The shop is bright, clean and spacious. Very inviting overall, but what made my visit truly enjoyable was the stellar customer service and massive selection.



And trust me this is not the first shop i have been to. In fact i have been scouring the city for exactly this place.



TLDR: Incredable service, selection, and atmosphere made this shop instantly my go to shop from now on. Check it out and spread the word, as im sure with a little groundswell support this place can be the ultimate social gaming headquaters.

Fantastic Board Game Cafe and store. Loads of great games, and fun hosted game nights several nights a week, including a ladies night! Best of all, there is no fee to play at Metal Galaxy... so you can spend your money on coffee, a delicious tuna salad panini, or a game to take home with you at the end of the day. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to try out a board game cafe in the city!
