Honest, fair, helpful, accommodating, professional. Much better pricing than the dealership or other shops. I had my break pads and rotors replaced last week. They were quick and half the cost of the dealership. I stopped in today because my windshield wiper wasn't working. They fixed it in an instant for free. Thanks for being stand-up people and for helping me out a few times now.

Dealership quoted me 110$ for a part, plus 522$ labor to put it in. Mike's did it all for 210$. This shop is the real idea of a good, honest mechanic, with a true family owned and operated business. I've been in Calgary 8 years and it took me a while to find a good one, but I've been here 4-5 times now and won't take my vehicles anywhere else.

Great service. Prompt and professional. Cost me about 65% of what the dealership quoted me for my brakes to be repaired and I have no complaints whatsoever about the workmanship. They also repaired a minor cosmetic issue for free. The shop may not be as flashy as the dealership, but don't let that convince you that they don't do top quality work.

I was a little intimidated to come here as my first impression wasn't the best. I am happy I decided to go, Mike and his team took great care of my Honda Civic and he is very honest when it comes to pricing. Plus you get what you pay for! Thank you Mike & the boys!

When I sold my vehicle I was interested in purchasing two others but wanted to get them inspected first. My regular mechanic was too busy and a few others I called were too busy as well. Mike's auto was able to fit both vehicles in on the same day to be inspected. I appreciated the effort they took to meet my service requests.

"Miracle Mike's" indeed! We had a wildly inconsistent problem with our 2000 Volvo V70. We could never reproduce the problem for other mechanics, and put over $1000 into maintenance at various mechanics to no avail.

Neil (Neal?) looked at our car, and couldn't find a problem related to the OBD-II error code (as other mechanics have done), but kept looking and found the problem anyway. They rounded down the time they worked on our car, gave *very* fair prices on parts, and fixed other completely unrelated problems (after checking with us) while she was in for service. They even charged us less than we'd agreed to pay for the fluids they used.

Mike (the owner) was *very* helpful on the phone and in person through the whole process, and talked me through the rationale for why the problems they found were likely causing the errors in a way I (a non-car person) could understand. He even had Neal look into a few more issues for us after already having done most of the work (the extra labour Mike didn't even charge us for)... and then advised us that the service wasn't necessary, and probably a waste of our money!

Our car was very well cared for. The unreproducible problems are gone, and she's driving like a much younger car.

Bottom line: great service, very fair pricing, honest knowledgeable mechanics, and very patient explaining what was going on with our car at all stages. 5+/5, no question.

Update edit: I now live across the city from Mike's, and still get all my work done here. I have complete confidence that I can drop off my car, tell them to do "whatever is needed", and they'll give me a reasonable price on quality work. So long as I'm in Calgary, Mike & co. are the only ones doing work on my cars!

Mike and his crew have been looking after my vehicles for over 5 years. I've never been disappointed. Mike gets good prices on parts and passes those savings onto the customer. On my last visit my vehicle had a window smashed out and some change and other replaceable items stolen from it. Mike just went ahead and replaced the window, no questions, no hassle, no charge, just good business. Thanks Mike!

I have been going to Mike's for close to 10 years and have yet to be disappointed. They give honest advice (including the time they told me the value of my car didn't justify the cost of the repair) and honest service. Taking my car there feels like having my dad fix it - they look for an economical solution and I have never felt as though I am being spoken down to or taken advantage of because I am a woman. They also give good advice for how to maintain the car to avoid further repairs. I would not take my car anywhere else.

Awesome auto shop! The staff are very kind and helpful and ended up saving me hundreds of dollars for a very quick fix. Great service and I will always come back here.

I had just taken possession of a vehicle and was hoping to get a number of potential concerns checked out and dealt with.
I mentioned a number of minor concerns on the phone and when I dropped off the vehicle in person. At the counter a number of potential diagnoses were made. These diagnoses, which were almost based on what I had said alone, were apparently enough evidence to determine what needed to be done. The previous "almost" is because they also visually inspected my brakes (which I had mentioned as a concern) and recommended some work done on them. Fair enough.
However, the other issues did not seem to be assessed at all beyond what I had said and the suspected necessary fixes. Those "fixes" were applied and the minor concerns were not resolved.
A couple months later I had to go to another shop as the minor concern ultimately developed into a more major one. In the end, the issue was resolved for less than what I had already payed for the non-fix. In the end I am quite sore about the lack of diagnostics. When I asked about the one non-fix I was told that they normally just do what is cheapest for the customer... I agreed that that would be great, If it actually solved the problem...Though it should be noted that the brakes they replaced are doing their job; so, it wasn't a complete write-off going there.

Maybe this experience was out of character for them. Maybe I should've pushed for them to do more diagnostics before deciding on the "repair" (though I assumed they would fix the problem based on an actual assessment and not just a bit of brainstorm at the shop counter).Maybe what they did had value, but regardless, it didn't fix the concern that I specifically asked them to investigate and resolve. I don't know. I just know that I am not very impressed.
