Millet School Buddy Bench

One day my family came across a Ted Talks video (the link is posted below), that had a great message; "Let's create friendships and eliminate loneliness". At the end of the video my girls (Josephine age 7, Opelia age 5) asked me if we could make a Buddy Bench for their school. They thought this was a great idea that could help many kids. We of course jumped on board with the project, and the planning began! After seeking and aquiring permission from the school, we have found volunteers to build the bench and are just needing the funds for the materials. Our goal is to raise $200 for the wood & paint, if the project happens to come in under our estimate all extra funds raised will be donated to the Millet School. We hope to have the bench completed and installed by end of May at the latest (this is dependant on how quickly funds are raised). The exact location of the bench on school grounds is still to be determined. Please take a moment to look at the video clip below and share it with members of your family, to help educate everyone on the purpose of the Buddy Bench.
