Nice campground. Good trails but skip the beach. Not a nice swimming lake.

Beautiful Campground...too bad it smelled so awful. At first we thought the smell was coming from the dump stations...but we went for a walk and discovered that it was coming from the lake... The lake was deemed unsafe to swim...we walked to the "beach" and had to walk over turds and toilet paper...the lake was very low, which made me think the sewage in the lake might normally be hidden when the water levels were higher...
Again, too bad, because the campsites are beautiful.

Lovely campground, the park centre is a nice touch that other campgrounds don't have. Quiet and not a lot of bugs around. Fairly private campsites.

The campsites are very well treed and private. The workers are pretty fast coming down to your site if you need them! And it's nice and clean!

Great camping so close! Sites are nice. Camp was quiet and well-patrolled for May long weekend. Lots of playgrounds, bike paths. Clean bathrooms (everywhere) and showers. No, you can't swim in the lake but views and waterfowl are very nice... Maybe I lucked-out but seems underrated based on my experience.

You definitely do not want to come here for the lake itself, but everything else associated with the Park and Campground is fine.

Large campground, but most sites feel secluded - even the ones large enough to accommodate larger units. Great walking trails that go for miles.

My mom used to take my sisters and I here when we were kids. We used to take our creamsicle coloured kitty with us. I had very fond memories of this place. I took my husband here a few times this year to camp and we enjoyed our time there. When reserving online I would suggest you look at the map and the photos of each site prior to booking. Some sites have less trees than others and you can see your neighbours if you pick wisely. Firewood is sold @ the gate and it was only $8 a bag. We found it so reasonably priced we went through 1.5 to 2 bags a day. I comment on the beach or the day use areas as we stayed in our site the majority of the time. We only leaving if we had to run into Camrose for stuff.

Beautiful lake area, but god for a walk to the beaver ponds in the extensive and well signed trail system - it's my favourite part.. Stayed in group site, which has cookhouse, quite a few powered sites, well-kept pit toilets, fresh water supply. Sani-dump on-site, clean and beautiful day use area with lots of parking/easy access for all sized vehicles.
