Montana'S Bbq & Bar

After multiple bad experiences at this location I had to comment. The food is great but the service is so horrible it is not worth going.

Dinner for 6 ended up being a 2.5 hour experience after half of our orders were not put through to the kitchen. We were there for a birthday celebration, so we ordered dessert. Happy birthday was sung to the wrong person and coffee was served 20 minutes later with the bill. No one received drink refills for the entire 2.5 hour experience. Then we ended up going to the bar to finally pay because no one was returning to the table to take our money.
Oh, and a lightbulb burned out over our table half way through the meal. And it was actually quite dark.

Almost a year later I gave them another go. It was a late lunch for 3. The restaurant was nearly empty. Again with the slow service and no drink refills. When I finally got my bill - after requesting it 3 times - I could see that our order wasn't even put in until 20 minutes after it was taken at the table. I had to flag down another server so I could finally pay. My server was just wandering aimlessly and slowly around in circles. He clearly didn't care about his one table or potential tip. Even my five year old recognized that this was incredibly poor service and almost odd behavior from the server.

If you have the patience of a saint and plenty of time on your hands, the ribs are great otherwise go next door to ESM.

Prices seem a bit excessive for a family restaurant. I ordered the Canadian burger which was delicious. My wife ordered the chicken tacos and enjoyed them. We ordered the slider burgers and noodles for the kids. The noddles were very bland and the burgers were rather dry.

Well how to start this...
My 6th anniversary with my wife and we ordered spinach dip for the starter. Well over baked. Not a good start. I ordered steak with unlimited shrimp. Witch was good but always had to ask for the unlimited shrimp. Server never asked if I would like more... last which was the worst. Everything came to 105.00. Went to pay by prepaid Visa cards.(2 cards) did not go through. Then was able to take one card for 20$ and other for 30$. Rest I had to pay by debit. Then 2x it did not go through. Sever went to get manager. Came back and server said the manager fixed it. So I said I can pay with the 2 gift cards and she said no cause manager said that there system don’t actually take prepaid Visa cards. So I forked out the rest on debit. Lucky I have money there. Lol
Was not impressed that the manager did not come out to help resolve the issue. No signs saying that they don’t take prepaid Visa. Not a good 6th anniversary

Server was hard to find and long periods of time passed with no visits. Our entrees came out at 3 different times. My wife was almost done her meal by the time mine came out. All food was lukewarm at best. Server often would ask his manager "if he can go for a dart". He smelt strongly of cigarette after these breaks. Typically Montana's atmosphere so not much to say about that. Just brutal. each server had 3-4 tables and it seemed quiet. Not sure what the problem was. Never have had any issues with Montana's in the past. Bad day for all?

These people that give the low stars are deluded. This place is exceptionally maintained. The staff are nice (especially on your birthday) and the food tastes impeccably delicious! I recommend checking this place out.

We had an amazing waitress, Hayley, who took the extra time to confirm what foods met my dietary restrictions and made sure I wasn't getting something that could knowingly give me a reaction. It was a great evening and we will definetaly go back to this location!

My partner and I just had lunch here (May 21st - 11:30-11:15AM). We had Eddie as a server, and he was excellent -- very friendly, professional and thorough. He made the experience a great one. We hope to have him as a server again!

It was horrible, we have gone here for years but after yesterday I don't think we will ever be back. The wall of the booth was filthy! The salads were so soggy I can only imagine they sat pre made for hours in the fridge, the feature steak we ordered was grey and inedible. The place has to be under new terrible management with very low standards or someone gave up caring about the place!! Left without eating after speaking with the manager but I took pictures of everything it was so bad, I intend to send them to the head office so that something is done to clean this terrible place up!

The server Dana at this location is fantastic. Twice I had excellent service from her. Now if only they could get the kitchen sorted so we don't have an hour and a half wait next time.

Still the best place for beef rib. If they ever drop that menu item I'm dropping them.
