Mosaic Village is a unique intergenerational community – welcoming, inclusive and openly diverse – where both individual privacy and a sense of belonging are valued. A small town atmosphere that fosters supportive and encouraging relationships, creating trust and acceptance. We offer the opportunity for environmentally and socially responsible living to enhance our own lives and that of the greater community.

We are a diverse group of Calgarians who have chosen to build a unique community within the city where families and individuals can enjoy the benefits of truly knowing and trusting their neighbours, while retaining the privacy of owning their own homes.

Through a variety of community social activities and events, including regular meals together; and through participating in making the decisions that affect us all, we continue to build a strong and dynamic community of caring and supporting people. Essentially we are just neighbours helping neighbours, but together we are able to offer lots of shared spaces and provide many shared resources, allowing us to live in more socially conscious and environmentally friendly ways. After all, not everyone needs to own a lawnmower and snow blower – or even hammers, saws and screwdrivers – we believe that encouraging a culture of generosity and sharing increases our quality of life and can decrease our consumption of materials and energy.
