Mount Royal Cougar Athletics Description
The newest member of Canada West and Canadian Interuniversity Sport, the Mount Royal University (MRU) Cougars compete annually in both men’s and women’s basketball, hockey, soccer and volleyball. A proud part of MRU since its inception in 1910, the Cougars have a storied history in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) that includes 153 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Championships and 43 CCAA national titles in the past four decades. The Cougars were also the recipient of the CCAA Sport Supremacy Award in 1999.
