Mount Royal Kantorei

Mount Royal Kantorei is a mixed voice, auditioned choir that embraces classical music of all periods, Canadian repertoire, and contemporary works.

Mount Royal Kantorei is proud to enter its third decade with a growing choir and strong public interest. As the adult choir of Mount Royal University Conservatory, Mount Royal Kantorei is delighted to present a varied programme of performance and collaboration. Under the leadership of Artistic Director John Morgan, the choir is adding members and has been pulling in larger audiences than ever. It is an exciting and vibrant time.

Mount Royal Kantorei is a mixed voice, auditioned choir that embraces a varied repertoire, ranging from W. A. Mozart to Eric Whitacre. The choir focuses on classical music of all periods, Canadian repertoire, and contemporary works.

Through its connection with Mount Royal University, the choir aims to strengthen the musical and vocal skills of individual members, and is unique in offering individual vocal coaching to all its members.
