Mr. Lube

ZERO STARS! I had been here three times in total. First time the guy was fixing my windshield chip and cracked the window.....no charge for the "chip repair" though. Second time was good service but much upselling, they recommended a cabin filter change for 77$, bought it at Canadian Tire for 30$. Oil changes take way too long due to too much upselling. Absolutely brutal service the third time. I sat at the bay door for thirty minutes, no one came to speak to me so I assumed I was up next. To my surprise they came out and told me to backup so they could rearrange in the proper order. Because no one came to speak with me others were placed in "order" ahead of me......I assume as the trainee had no explanation. Needless to say I did not reorder myself but simply left never to return. NEVER TO RETURN!

Arrived at 8 am when they opened. Almost an hour to get in. Sat in the shop for 15 with no one doing anything or acknowledging I was there. Finally got my oil change. Told 11 am my truck could go in to get the tires on rims swapped. 12:30 still waiting and they are still working on another car. Took the day off to get this done this morning and now the whole day will be shot. So disappointed. I think I will be setting up an account for all our fleet trucks somewhere else. I am in my personal truck so they have no idea I am the one who will pull the account on our business fleet.

This place doesn’t deserve even 1 star. Absolutely the worst service I’ve seen in all my life for getting an oil change. They lost a customer for life who owns multiple vehicles.
I waited in line behind customer ahead while they had 2 vehicles on each my right and left lanes ushered in. Then customer ahead and my vehicle were ushered in. Those on my left and right and in front were done while I sat and watched for at least 20 minutes. All five vehicles around me were done and no one even spoke once to me while couple young guys played around. Finally, after no one spoke to me as I watched patiently, I blew my horn and asked them to open the door so I could back out. Fortunately there were no cars outside in line so I could leave. Will never go there again.

Changed my own oil as always the other day but accidentally missed putting the washer on the oil pan plug the other day (oops, my bad). Since I don't have access to the car lift I used yesterday today I called Mr. Lube to see what they would charge to change the oil using my oil and to put the washer back on the plug. The answer? Standard charge, as if they were using their own oil and filters, even though they would be doing neither of these things. $54.99 to drain the oil basically.

So here's your review and my thoughts on that policy.

I've had my oil changed here twice and have had nothing but good and friendly service. I typically come in during the weekdays when it's a little less busy and it has not taken more than 45 minutes altogether (wait time + service), even with 2 cars in line before me. The staff seem to work together very well. Great work guys.

absolutely will never be back. tried to tell me my coolant needed to be flushed when the oil change prior i had it changed/flushed. they rounded off my front differential fill plug. got home from the oil change which is maybe at most 4km and had oil leaking out of the oil pan drain plug which i spun finger tight when i got home and 1/2 turn with the 13mm wrench.
being a car enthusiast and being very knowledgeable about vehicles this is very disappointing. you've lost a returning customer very disappointing.

I've gone here for all my oil changes and tire swaps since I moved to the south 2 years ago. Yes, it can be very busy but I've seen all 6 bays going and they still had a line up. When your business is drop in you have to staff according to history which means sometimes you might have an unexpected rush.

The service has always been excellent. I have paid 50% more amount of Mr. Lube charges to go to the dealership. Not only did I have to leave my car with them I picked it up with 3 flat tires. Mr. Lube even oils my doors. They never pressure me into anything, they recommend and tell me the consequences if I say no, because they don't want to get sued, but they never force me into anything.

I always get told about the survey but I don't believe for a second someone was forced to fill one spot.

The guys here are thorough, friendly and manage to still be happy even when they're packed and it's boiling out.

I wouldn't recommend anyone taking your vehicle here if you value your vehicle. My wife had an oil change done, where I estimaed they over filled her oil by AT LEAST a quart before a highway trip. Luckily, it didn't cause any immediate damage on the 3.5 hour drive.

After realizing their mistake, and having another Mr. Lube shop verify it was overfilled and drain it. I called the 130th Ave location to tell them what happened and that I wanted a refund. The employee thought that was fair, and that it just needed to be confirmed higher up.

Unfortunately, my only request of having being refunded my service (since they didn't perform it correctly, and could have done damage to seals) couldn't be honored, and would only offer a $25 gift card.

Given my request wasn't unreasonable considering the failed service, the time I had to take driving to another Mr. Lube in another city, and the potential damage it could have caused, I can't recommend this shop. If you need a quick oil change drive a little further to the Mobil 1 quick lube in Midnapore.

We arrived when it was fairly busy, and an attendant named Sean was out within 2 minutes to give us a newspaper and get us some coffees (their coffee is the best in the game by the way.)

Sean blew us away with his customer service skills, he seemed genuinely happy, was joking with us, and gave us very accurate information. (Normally we do our own oil changes but this time we didn't have access to equipment.) He recommended the best package for us based on our usage, not based on the most expensive option.

Obviously the prices and their sales strategies are necessary to run their business, but when we rejected upsales they remained friendly.

We were in and out within 30 minutes. I would recommend this location to anyone based on our experience.

If I could give a 0 star rating I most certainly would. This location was horrible to deal with. My girlfriend went here for an oil change and was strong armed into getting services she was not preppared to get by a service advisor named Drew.

She asked if these services could be done at another time and was informed that if she didnt get them done right then her vehicle would not make it to its next oil change. She was extremely upset at this experience and walked away having been scared and forced into changing fluids and items that she was not interested in changing.

I spoke with the manager of this location, Moe, and was informed that he wasn't willing to do anything to ease my mind regarding this company or his location.

He also informed me that the service advisor Drew has had excellent reviews over the past year of working there. Considering he tried to force her repeatedly to review him on the spot, his reviews are likely not an accurate indication of his service. He gave terrible service and forced products and services on my girlfriend that she wanted to do at a later date.

I am currently dealing with their regional manager and hope to work towards a positive resolve.

Update: The managers within this company have decided that the actions of their staff warrant no corrections. Avoid this location and this company. Many quick lube places to choose from.

Excellent location and services. Be aware that this location is always super busy, because of the amount of satisfied returning clients!
Thanks guys for being around, for being down to earth when explaining what needs to be done to customer that doesn't necessarily have a technical background.
