Embracing the snow the best way we know how - fatbike style!

Would give customer service a 10 out of 5 rating, but facebook doesn't allow that *single tear*

Well the name is awesome for starters. Knowledge of product. In house service and repair. THE OWNERS ARE LOCAL!!! THATS HUGE!

I'm new to biking. I asked the peeps at Red Deer location. They didn't try and sell me on the first bike I looked at. They asked what I wanted to do. I explained. BAM! New bike. I've been in since to talk about a full suspension Transition or Santa Cruz. A few times actually. They never hesitate to make me feel at home or part of the clique. They tell me stories and of their experiences. Not pushing for a sale but always working on our relationship. The kinda company that's not out to make a fortune of me the first year but over the next 30! Trustworthy!!

User

Wanted to buy a scooter for son, after yet another terrible Sport Check visit we came here to Sherwood Park location, were helped as soon as we walked in the door, employee was knowledgeable and helpful! Walked out with a new scooter and a happy son! Staff all friendly and ready to help!!

User

Today was my first time ever going to any mud sweat and gears.

I went in to buy a new chain and have it installed. Along having my rear derailleur adjusted.

The guy at the service desk quickly got an XT chain and proceeded to install it right away. I wish I could remember his name. He also did a few other quick fixes, which he did not need to do.

I am not used to have my bike serviced right away.

I will be back for my next tune up.

User

Today I visited the Sherwood Park location. The staff there had lined up for me 3 different fat bikes in my size and price range to test ride. After trying them all I ended up getting a 2017 Rocky Mountain Blizzard -50. Great staff and great service.

User

Love Mud, Sweat & Gears - Sherwood Park! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and the gear is top notch. I bought my son's bike, helmet and accessories here. They've installed a basket on my bike, serviced our bikes and over Christmas I bought my son a skateboard. They even had some brought over from their Spruce Grove location on Christmas Eve so I'd have a bigger selection to choose from. Customer satisfaction is very apparent. There's no over-selling or pressure to buy. There's also a really great service plan for their gear. I'm a loyal customer.

User

Knowledgeable, friendly staff, great positive energy. Jeff took the time to find out what type of rider and riding I did so he could show me bikes that met my needs and ensured the bike fit me properly. Can't say enough good about this shop, I am a 100% loyal customer and wouldn't shop anywhere else. You can tell everyone working there loves to ride. The Santa Cruz Furtado was the perfect match for me, what a great bike!!

User

Ive bought my last 2 bikes from mud sweat and gears . 2016 Kona Process 153dl and a 2014 Transition Double. Love both bikes and never have had a problem with service. Top notch. The head mechanics know their stuff and will explain any problems and the proper soulutions. Great local shop!

User

I went into the Sherwood Park store just to see what was available in my price range. I don’t remember his name, but the guy who helped me as soon as I walked in the door was awesome! I haven’t been on a bike in a long time, so I wasn’t looking at spending loads of money on a bike. He set me up with a few to test ride and gave me tons of time to see which one I enjoyed most. He explained all of the components on each bike and why one was better than the other. I ended up buying a new bike that day, along with gear to go with it. This was at the end of June. The other day I was riding and noticed my back tire was low, so I tried to fill it up. Silly me, I’ve never seen this type of valve before, and didn’t even think to ask when I bought the bike. I stopped by the store after I got back home and was looking at paying over $100.00 on a new pump and tire gauge for the bike. The same guy who sold me the bike gave me a tutorial on how to fill the tire with that type of valve, and sold me two valve adapters for a grand total of $4.18. I’ve never had service like this! He could have easily let me walk out the door after spending the cash and living in the dog house at home for a while, but he didn’t. I will always go back to mud, sweat and gears for all of my bike needs. Great job everyone!

User

I have not owned a bike and 20+ years and have been shopping for one for two years now. A friend recommended Mud Sweat and Gears in Sherwood Park and I loved the fact that it is a locally owned business.

Well, my experience there was second to none. I have been to a number of other bike shops over the last couple of years and left empty-handed because of one major thing....their complete lack of customer service...that is when I could even get someone to even attempt to help me. This shop was different right from the moment I walked in the door. First I met Brandon who took so much time with me to find out about what kind of biking I was going to be doing, my experience level (or lack thereof), fitting me for a bike, and working within my budget. In the end, he found the perfect bike for me!

A couple of days later, the bike was delivered and I came in to complete the purchase. Again, amazing customer service, this time by Taylor. He made sure everything was adjusted for me, helped me pick out the proper accessories and had the items installed while I waited. I had a million questions and he took time to answer all of them. Admittedly, novice that I am, I would have been an easy mark to be completely over-sold...but no...he had no problem dissuading me from purchasing items I really didn't need, or alternatively, recommending items that would be better value based upon my needs.

Even Jeff, the General Manager took time to talk to me about using an app for my needs as opposed to spending money on a sensor etc. that others with much more serious riding experience would be more suited for. Again, I very much appreciated that I wasn't sold something simply because I asked about it and wouldn't have known any better...he took the time to find out that it wasn't really something that would benefit me.

There were also a couple of other staff members that went out of their way to help me while Taylor was busy getting my bike equipped and I'm sorry I did not ask their names as well.

I would highly recommend this particular shop to anyone...the customer service is stellar, they are extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. In addition, they gave me the best price they could and even a discount on my accessories. Well done...I won't go anywhere else now.

User

I have a cyclocross bike from Mud Sweat and Gears and it is great! Customer service and the price are the things that will bring me back when I am ready for an upgrade!

User

I can not begin to say how grateful I am for the staff at Mud Sweat and Gears! I came to the shop after a horrible experience at an Edmonton store. The sales staff helped me find the perfect bike and Chariot for my family, and set everything up for me. They even took the time to show me how to use and attach the trailer to my bike. They were so kind and patient while I had my daughter there and offered so much helpful info and then helped me pack everything into my car. I would recommend this store hands down! Thank you so much!

User

Got myself a brand new bike today... A 2012 Trek Lush S dual suspension... The service was absolutely incredible. Thank you so much Graham Mann! After trying a competitor of theirs, who really is no competition at all, I was treated like I really wanted to buy a bike. It was great to deal with someone who put the effort in rather than the competitor who literally passed me a bike and a helmet and showed me the small little fenced off area where I was to try out the bike. Graham, on the other hand, set up specifically for me, each one of the three bikes I tried. It really wasn't hard to purchase the bike there. A lost sale for the competitor. I wonder how many more the competitor loses with that kind of PR.

User

Excellent customer service! My son had a ski race the following morning and I last minute needed a race helmet. I went in around 4 and they didn't have a helmet that would fit him, so they figured out the size he needs and contacted their Spruce Grove store and they drove it in for me before the store closed at 6. I would highly recommend this store! Thanks again!

User

Brought my son into the Sherwood Park store to look for a new bike helmet. We had gone to a different store in Edmonton and received no assistance at all. I knew I should have looked locally first. At your store, we were welcomed as soon as we entered the door and had an awesome experience. My son left happy with a brand new helmet!! Thanks

User

A big thank you to the team at Mud Sweat and Gears, it goes to show that personal, educated service goes a long way. One of our Instructors at Spinunity bought her clip in shoes at another unnamed store and was complaining of a sore knee. I suggested she go to Mud Sweat and Gears to have it checked out and her clip in was placed significantly farther up then it should have. It wasn't their sale but they corrected the issue. This is why you shop local!!! Great job!

User

Had an issue and the owner Paul responded back to me. He gave me quite a bit of info on road bikes and I ended up buying a bike. Very happy with the way Paul ensured I was a happy customer.

User

I bought a new bike and trailer for my baby girl, and the sales person was great, however I still havn't picked up my stuff because I have been unable to figure out their revised hours for the Easter Weekend. I tried calling first thing on Good Friday, got no answer, couldn't find any info on their website or phone message, turns out they just opened late . Then tried again on Sunday, according to their website and Facebook page they should have been open, but they were not. To my mind this is pretty basic buiseness practice, to make it easy for customers to know when you are open. A bit frustrating.

User

Prices are high do to no competition in the area. Staff are only semi- knowledgeable, and are more concerned with up selling you on parts. Twice I have taken by bike in for tune up/ repair and it has been gone for a month. Absolutely atrocious service.

Graham, on the other hand, set up specifically for me, each one of the three bikes I tried. It really wasn't hard to purchase the bike there. A lost sale for the competitor. I wonder how many more the competitor loses with that kind of PR.

Thanks

Great job!

Had an issue and the owner Paul responded back to me. He gave me quite a bit of info on road bikes and I ended up buying a bike. Very happy with the way Paul ensured I was a happy customer.

Prices are high do to no competition in the area. Staff are only semi- knowledgeable, and are more concerned with up selling you on parts. Twice I have taken by bike in for tune up/ repair and it has been gone for a month. Absolutely atrocious service.
